I used to own a country club, "_Alaskan-Assassins_". Before I created this country club, I was able to play the game without much trouble.
Within the first week of creating the country club, gameplay was still fairly trouble-free. Sometime within two weeks of creating the country club, my gameplay started to suck!
First I thought I needed to update my drivers i.e. video, audio and chipset. So, I spent the next couple of days updating all my drivers and then doing Windows updates afterwards.
Still, the experience of your game was still horrible.
I was receiving 10-20 invites, a.k.a. request to join my country club, a day. I thought nothing of it, just figured it was part of the process of owning a country club. People wanting to join.
Now, when I talked about the gaming experience being horrible. The meter would start, sometimes stop altogether, then start up again, then stutter and then totally flyby "The Ding Line".
Every once in a while, it would work perfectly only for the very first shot (I don't mean taking the first shop as a whole, I mean the very first, very first time.), I play on the laptop… That means playing with a touchpad for a mouse, for whatever reason sometimes the touchpad doesn't register my spot where I'd like to swing. We all know sometimes hitting the Ding isn't the best shot. Then on my second try, it would stop, stutter, then flyby the ding line.
After about three or four days of this, I quit trying to play for about a week or so. Very frustrating and annoying to say the least.
Finally logged in about four days ago, when I first logged in. The invite count was absolutely zero, it stayed that way for almost 30 seconds. Then all of a sudden jumped up to 148, and it didn't move from there at all. I proceeded to click on "Play Now", I then clicked on Stroke Play in practice mode.
As I was sitting there at the Tee, the invite count was only 100. 15-20 seconds later it jumped up to 160, it stopped there for about 30 seconds, then all of a sudden jumped over 300.
That's when I thought to myself, "Aha!".
I didn't bother informing anyone in the country club that I was going to delete this country club, rude… I know, but… I needed my golf fix!
After I deleted the country club, logged out and ran CCleaner and logged back in… I had my golf back!
For the last 4-5 days, everything has been running fairly trouble-free.
You guys are running on ASPX, there's a little too much reiteration going on with your code behind.
Showing the invite count, during gameplay isn't a good idea. Would be best to keep it with the login page.
Just my two cents.
