    Hello fellow WGTers,

I’m looking for a new CC.

What I’m looking for is a club that has:

1).  CC tournaments that are a mix of 9 and 18 hole, mostly single play, and mostly not “red tee specials”

    2).  A matchplay league

3).  No interest in “golden putters”

    4).  Members who:

          a).  Participate in club tournaments

b).  Read and contribute to club forum

c).  Add other members as friends

d).  Are in it for the enjoyment of the game as a game and a social activity

If you own, or know of, such a club please contact me either on my wall or via friend request and let’s have a chat.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Contacts - Irishpunk or amkmax   Club page

I'm sure we could give you a good home, very friendly guys and very competitive.

3 intense major tournaments per month, other additional tourny's, regular cc v cc matches, loads of free and credit brackets, a lively alt shot scene.

We don't care about gnomes or golden putters and make no demands regarding passes and club xp.

We just love playing the game and having fun in good company (but bring your A game).

    Hi Dave;

Just got a heads up regarding this post.  However it looks like you are already in a club.  We do not poach members from other clubs, so I am a bit confused if you are still looking for a club to join.

If you have found your new home I wish you the best of luck and good golfing.

    Max the club dog.

My club fits your criteria apart from the match-play league. You'd be welcome to start one. :-)

(We are the only level 18 club and have 188 members above Tour Master.)

We are a new club Dave, but my aim regarding club comps and forum use is what drives me to succeed. My advert stipulates it and im not bothered about having 100 members if only 15 or so play club comps.

But i do mix some mini comps up with easy tees, not for XPs as i dont care, but just for variation. I use default tees mostly, so i can give low tiers some hope, plus my handicap is tier based, again to aid them.

We maybe too new for you which is a shame

    Good luck

OP reads like a recruitment letter for Grande Oaks.  You certainly have the game to compete with players in any club including ours.  We'd love to have you give us a trial run.  Best of luck regardless of your choice.

    Edit:  http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/254409.aspx

Just some random points:  We also have a skype page (as a lot of clubs do, i assume) with 39 members.  Getting a multi player game is quite easy with us.  15-0 in Intra Club matches.  Our "top" players all share in helping/playing with all of the members.  No clique or defined hierarchy here and we don't do "group think" either.  Quite the opposite... our forums can get very entertaining.  However, we aren't chaotic either.  Best of both worlds, i guess.

Welcome to GOGC, David.  No play requirements.  We only ask that members do one of three things:  play one CC event per week. Or play alt shot with fellow members.  Or post in our club forum.
