Stop Press! Alternative Universe found at Bandon!!!
Concerns over strange creatures sighted on #4 at Bandon have been well documented, but to my knowledge no-one has raised an eyebrow over a quite shocking discovery on #14. Granted, it may be a mere bug... but more likely it seems I've stumbled upon clear evidence of an alternative universe. I believe Yancy is needed: time for some investigatables!
Apologies if someone has already posted about this strange, twilight-zone experience. I couldn't find anything in a quick search.
I was up against the great sebicu in the semi-final of the Bandon 9-hole Bracket (and, as you can imagine, needing all the help I could get). I come to the 14th, ding a beauty that's "tracking" (as they say) and almost spins back in for an ace.
In viewing the replay, I decide to watch from both camera #2 and #4 and... even though I swear I haven't been drinking, it's really hard to believe that both of those reverse views are looking back towards the same tee:

The far distance topography is completely different: there appear to be rolling hills all the way across in camera #2, where you might expect to see some sea as seen in #4.
#2 shows what looks like a bunker right between tee and pin, but it's not there in #4, nor on the course map.
And the banks of gorse showing in #2 just don't seem to match anything at a corresponding distance in #4. There is gorse in front of the tee on #1 view but it's more to the left of the tee, not directly in line with the pin.
Edit: well, well, I just watched the replay as loaded separately after the event (i.e. not right after the shot). And, guess what, it shows a different (and correct!) view for camera #2 (and no option to watch camera #4, unlike when you're in the game itself):
So, it seems that we have a rogue view from camera #2 that gives you a replay of your shot that appears to come from some entirely different hole that WGT photographed that day. But it only gives you that view immediately on playing the shot during the game; go back to the replay later and you get a different camera view that does match the hole. Extremely strange!
You can test this for yourself without having to go through all the other holes: visit the WGT Courses Bandon page and navigate to #14 here: it'll put you onto the front tee, but with some care, you can hit backwards onto the back tee (eg. a 50yard wedge punched with spin). Hitting from back there, you do get #2 and #4 camera options on the replay (which you don't from the front tee).
Does this 'alternative universe' issue happen anywhere else on Bandon? Could this be the missing Investigatable we've been waiting for... the equivalent of Pinehurst's Easter Bunny and the Pods!!! I think we should be told!!!

BTW: needless to say, I lost to sebicu by 1 shot, lol (although a long-distance lip-out on #13, and a missed 6 footer on #15 were far more responsible than failing to make the ace!). Good luck in the final, Seb!
