Sometimes it would be nice to know what tees and or pin placements are being used.  This can be an invaluable aid at times when choosing the right clubs for your bag prior to teeing off.

I had the same idea a while back. Basic answer is, "adjust" :)

Seriously?  I read the post this morning and have thought about it a while.  So basically you are saying, "No we won't do something as easy as place the course set up on the screen for you to make an informed decision before entering a tournament.  You customers really need to adjust your expectations because we truly don't give a rat's a$$ what you guys want."

I know it's not you Icon and I have a lot of respect for you.  You're doing the best you can, but it's a damned shame that the most consistent part of this game is the lack of customer service from WGT.

For the record, Infinito's suggestion has been put forth several times by others and is a very sound proposal.  I just can't figure out why you guys are so hesitant to make such an easy change.

I remember Tibbets throwing words around like "transparency" and "collaboration" while working with TWO in closed Beta, and how nice it was that they actually listened to suggestions.  Yes this is WGT, not TWO, but perhaps more of that spirit would breed less contempt from many of us players.  Sad thing is that you guys know we're totally addicted to the game, so it really makes no difference what we want.  We'll still be here a year from now griping about the same old stuff.  :)

Jake, I think my point is still valid. For example, when I play Oak back 9, I have to decide if I need my 215 wood or 230 wood because of the way holes 16/18 play. If 18 plays head wind, my 215 doesn't get there but if 16 plays tail, then I have no chance to get close with 230 club.

So, ya, it makes me decide, since maybe I can use different wedges than my current setup to put 2 woods in my bag.

Choices are good, sometimes more information limits choices, so while maybe it's a decent idea, I personally don't think it's necessary and maybe even adds more to the game when there is a certain unknown factor.

Point taken.  I definitely see the error in my ways.  Silly of me to think that you guys actually want suggestions from experienced  players.  So by this logic should we do away with wind and green speed information too?  Would be nice if we could split iron set up then choosing right woods/ hybrid really would be a non factor.  Another suggestion that has fallen on deaf ears in the last year, but many players feel would be one of, if not the most important improvements WGT could make.

Any chance of a 280 driver or wedges to match the i15 swing speed in the foreseeable future?  I put the i15s away because that 2 yds diff in drivers is huge on a few holes and tired of pulling wedges because of the slower meter.

Keep up the good work you guys.  Nice update.  Glad to see Oakmont on the Ready Go circuit.

I believe the reason most of us are addicted  to this game is because of how lifelike it can be.......although not knowing wind conditions and green speed before entering a contest is not at all lifelike

When I go to my favorite golf course I am very much aware of the wind speed and direction, I usually know the green speed as well after getting on the practice green for a few minutes......wind directions and speed can change during the 5 hours it takes to complete an 18 hole round, but usually not so much that I am left totally off guard, as can sometimes be the case here

I see your point but I also think that when you are talking to me, the experience part should be assumed :P

I guess I can rephrase it too; there are many other things that I'd rather see implemented ahead of this. I'll add it to the list, but I wouldn't hold your breath:)

Hey thx for listening!  With you that I'd rather see many many things come before this but it sure does seem like an easy fix.  Since Christmas is approaching I'll submit my wish list.

    1. A more stable meter.  Not holding my breath here either.
    2. Ability to split irons up!  Huge one here.  I'd even shut up in the forums about most other problems if this was addressed....I PROMISE!
    3. Fix the fringe.
    4. Dial the VEM down just a touch.  I'm not against the VEM but think it should be tweaked a tad so the same dinged shots, from same distance, and identical winds don't end up 20yds diff from one hit to the next, as they do many times in high winds.
    5. 280+ driver and wedges that match the i15 swing speed.  More revenue for WGT.  Not sure why we don't have them.
    6. I've made peace with the poor green mapping but would love to see Congressional as close as BPB is on mapping.
    7. Finally...a hug from my old buddy ICOONT!
