Hello guys..I've just returned to the game after a years gap and  turned PRO and  I'm still using the Starter Clubs..

I need some suggestions with purchasing my clubs for the first time..I will be spending around 5500-6000 credits (I hope thats enough) and i'm willing to wait till around level 55 so that i can get some better clubs..I want clubs that will be able to use for a long time..Won't be able to spend more for a long time..

Also should i buy a Club set plus putter and wedges or All clubs separately ?

    Regards

    Divij

Ok, for the driver, no need to wait, you got a 275 yard driver just unlocked recently (@2495c, L48) or if you want to wait for the G25 Driver @L58 (1645c). For a 3 Wood, if you want to wait until L58, you can get the G25 (@545c), otherwise you can get the R11 (L30, 395c). The Putter is the L55 Rossa (725c) Or the L35 Ghost (800c), and 2 Ping Gorge Wedges (L41/42, 52 and 60, 590c), with the L39 64W ATV (495c). This gives you 4850 credits, 4775 credits, 4000 credits, 3925 credits, 4125 credits, or 4925 credits spent. If you with the lowest cost (G25 Driver+3W, Rossa putter, and the 3 wedges mentioned), you will have 2075 credits left, of which you can buy the R11 Irons @1995c.

I think mukbrain's suggestions are excellent.

Of his choices, if it were me I would buy:

    lvl48  r1 driver

    lvl 30  r11 3 wood

    lvl 35  Ghost putter

    r11 irons

wedges,  whichever ones look the best to you for the credits

These clubs should keep you fairly happy until you reach the 80's lvl and Legend.

Thank you guys and especially mukbrain..

Few more questions guys..How are the lvl59 Ping Irons ? if they are good then i can probably buy the G25 lvl 59 set..

Also what are your opinion about Cleveland CG16 Wedges (L7+) ? How much will the high trajectory help over the Ping Gorge wedges ?

In the putters mentioned above would u give priority to Forgiveness or Precision ?

Lastly, Would u prefer having good iron set or a good driver ?

    Thank You

The Pings are pretty good and they are the first HIGH trajectory irons since L8. I used the G20's (same clubs the G25's) all the way until L94. The CG's aren't as precise (which is more needed for short shots), and shorter (10 yards on the 54 degree wedges). They are also 68% more than the Gorges. As for the trajectory, it's not much of an issue, since they aren't extremely different in spin. As for a driver, you should be going for both driver and irons right now, as you need longer shots with the tees at medium vs. those at hack/amateur level.

Thank you once again..last question which of the two options would you chose ?

1- Ping G25 Driver and Iron Set or

    2- R1 driver and R11 Iron Set ?

I would go with the G25 driver and Iron set, since that G25 is 850 credits cheaper, and can get you to at least Tour Master level. Then probably SLDR at L89 or so.

The R1 is a much better club. True it costs a lot more but it is 25 yards longer and has much better precision and forgiveness. I would get it and then I would get an iron set that most closely matches the meter speed of the R1. It is much easier to hit the ding when most of your clubs if not all of them have the same meter speed.
