Firefox 4 + Flashblock = smooth game play.

I did the same thing for 4 months last year - although I did it silently and privately.

Starter Ball and no $$ for WGT for 4 months.

After creating so many addictions amongst the membership to the "Premium Balls" I think most people here would be surprised at how well they can do with the free ball - I surprised myself.  Faster Meter, less spin and my average never suffered.

The "bones" of the game remain the same.  For Premium balls you make certain adjustments to your shots and your game.  For the Free Ball it is simply a case of making different adjustments.

    Have fun, AC

They are not during game play, only between holes

They dont require you to click them to decline

They dont bother me.  I would rather have them there in that format then numerous other ways WGT can sell space to or try to get more money out of us.

Guess I am not too bothered by a company trying to make some money so they can keep the improvements coming and still make it available for free to many.

Guess you should boycott the MLB and NHL for those banner ads behind the umpire and along the boards on the ice.

Can we get slightly realistic here people?  You dont want to pay for upgraded clubs, you think the price of balls are too much and you dont want WGT selling ad space in a non play part of the game.  Yet many want more name brand items like Titleist, Callaway and others, here is a hint how to draw those brands to the game....ready.... dont bash the advertisers as the fellow at the top of the page did talking about pipes.  It doesnt attract new advertisers to see people bashing the old advertisers.  You dont see Jeter talking smack about the Ford he probably never drives that the company gave him for being a spokesperson.

I'm with Neil on this one. A lot of the comments are just wrong. There are no pop ups between shots only between screens. WGT has to make money so this is one way, would you rather them charge you for playing, that can be done. I read that it takes 21 views before a product gets in your head, this is just one way for companies to do it cheaply.

Another recent thread because of the black SkyCaddie logo that appears lower right corner after you try to change the view.  I never even noticed it until I read that.

The money WGT makes for ads is renting the ad space. The percentage WGT makes for someone actually clicking the ad, and buying the product is a small take to say the least.
