  I just shot consecutive 38s on Bethpage Back 9 yet my average went down?!?!?!

  on a lighter note, if you took the time to search the forum or left out your second post you might find or get the correct answer, now you just set yourself up for attacks like mine...

  I get how WGT says it is supposed to work you spaz. But I just shot 39 on the back 9 on St Andrews and my average went up. So why not after two rounds at Bethpage. That is/was my point.

  Hi,

  Your ranking, I think - is based on the average of your last 10 scores. So .......... As you add a round to your overall number of rounds played, then the 10th round score is dropped off and the ranking recalculated. If your latest round is better than your 10th round then the average will fall.

  It is very possible that maybe your rounds 9 & 10 scores were poorer than the two recent 38's you shot on Bethpage.

  If thats the case, rounds 9 & 10 are dropped off and essentially replaced by the two 38's - and so your ranking falls.
