I regrettably dropped the L96 Versa a while back and went with one of the Max putters.  Not that I don't like the Max, I just think it's time for me to go back to something more precise and wish I would have kept the L96 instead of selling to putt cred's toward Max purchase.

Question I have is...   Will there be new putters anytime soon?   I'd hate to rebuy the L96 just to find a new putter at the higher levels soon after lol.   Happened to me with the new Cleveland wedges when I went to ATV's just to match meter speed and then boom,  new Cleve's with matching meter speed within days.   It hurt a bit.

The new Odyssey Works stuff is kind of what I'm hoping to see here.

I've wanted to ask that question several times over the last few months.. I think we both know they wouldn't answer that publicly because there's nothing they would like more than for you to go ahead and buy the L96 Versa again and then after an update, have to buy another one with a half dot more balance or slower meter. They have no incentive to help us save money.. even if we're great customers.

What you need is a friend on the inside who can give you that type of information on the DL.. I know there are some here who have that type of relationship with certain WGT staff.. we just don't happen to be one of them.

I do believe a replacement is coming for the Versa.. as well as a 300 yd Driver.. But we'll just have to wait like almost everyone else to find out when.  :)

Why do you have to start this ? I was doing just fine with the 96 versa and now you just had to let us know that there is a better one out there . Would WGT put a better putter than the 96 in the shop ? If so hopefully at say L99-100 but not over 100 . If they do I would buy it for more precision , balance and feel . But the price would have to be right too .

Thanks H now I have to wait and drool in anticipation . :-)

The L90 R11s have got festering mold on them they are so long in the tooth.

A new 287 (call it 288, LOL) driver must be up too (with variable spin / loft ideally) as a new thing to play with.

Putting wise the L71 / L96 Versa are staring to look old too toy shop wise.

As ISH said none of us here will know when, but got to think so.  What extra price for all this stuff when, lets face it, it's stuff that really is not going to make bat crap difference to score is also a good ?...Many of us will all buy it  though as it's fun to just change now and then.

Shorter skid due to a new insert.......Gotta laugh:)

I do think the next putter will be in the next few months and will be a level 100 putter, since they came out with level 100 driver and irons.

If you join Augusta National, you may be able to get a new putter.  Just make sure you join within 2 days of a clash.

    Tekoma:
Good putter choice Hazen...Yellow Callaway has the quickest roll..     ;-)

    LOL

Well, I went ahead a bought the L55 Daytona, again LOL.  After all the putters I have used here, some more than a few times.  I had to go with the Daytona for two reasons... 1. I know it works and 2. it's very inexpensive so it only took a few days of messing with videos/offers and surveys for me to get it.

Although, the Rossa can get quite expensive when you buy it, sell it back to get new putter, then buy it again, only to do that about 4 more times lol.

    I need help.  ;-)

    After being stuck in the same routine I made a new rule a while back : NEVER sell back wedges or putters ;-}

LOL  I gave myself the same rule a long time ago, but thought for sure at one point it was going to be the last time  I bought something and wouldn't ever need em again.  Wedges and putters mainly.
