As most of us know just about every iron set that we have on here has always had 1 club that just didn't work as intended. With the Raptures it was the 7 iron. with the R11's it was the dreaded 8 iron which was all over the place distance wise.

Now with the 2 Nike iron sets it is the PW. But at least with the Nike PW it is consistent.  It just plays much shorter than the other irons with the same amount of B/S. For me I play much less B/S with the PW to get the rated distance. A little practice with varying amounts of B/S will help with this club.

But in many situations a punched 9 iron will take the place of the PW. Rated at 121 for the punch just 1 yard more than the PW's rated full distance  using a little more B/S will give you a fairly good shot.

I seem to recall Icon stating it is not the club per se causing the problem, not the Rapture 7I or r11 8I, but it is something in the physics engine and that range of yardage (145 - 155).  I don't trust my nike VF 8I  either.  I get some goofy, off the wall, WTF, yardages with the 8I occasionally.  I have no ill feelings towards my PW, its a great club IMO.

    Icon, do I remember correctly?

For me it has always been the 8 iron,  at least with the R11's, and both the top sets of Nikes.

I've had it go 150+ with full bs into headwind with uphill elevation more times than I care to think about.  BUT, when I'm playing for the 8i to go long it always comes up short lol.

As far as the PW,  all 3 have been pretty awesome for me.  Can't remember any clubs before the R11's lol, and it was only 11 levels ago, but seems like FOREVER.  :)
