Any chance of getting an audible invite alert?

    Already exists:

    From game client:

upper left hand corner, click on MENU

    then click on OPTIONS

    then click on AUDIO tab

find INVITATION ALERTS   SOUND ON    SOUND OFF

I keep mine off always, therefore if feature is broken I would not know.

It is a very helpful feature.

Or should I say it would be if it worked.  I get an audible alert when friends sign in or out, but none when I get an invite to a game (Which would actually serve a purpose.).

One of the many swell things on WGT

It only works if you have the music on.

I have heard that this is the case, and I don't doubt it.

I would suggest that WGT make it possible to have the music off and still hear the alert.

Is that a good idea? IMHO it would be great because if I'm in the other room I  could hear the alert and not have to have the music looping at an audible volume....endlessly.  lol

Can the alert be heard with the music on, but with the music volume fader at, or near, zero?

    edit:

TY courteney for the reply ↓

That's what I do. Give it a try.

The question is why this sound system is the only coupled with music ?

If you start a practice round and just stay on the Tee-box, the music is muted and you can hear an invite. Trouble is if you have a lot of friends logging in and out, you get a lot of false positives.

Now if they could make the game invite distinctively different from the friend activity sound, we'd have a "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner".

Actually, the "heartbeat" sound in CTTH games is also dependent on the music setting.
