Best Ball Format

  I like the new alt shot format. Would like to see a best ball (4 ball) format.

  I hope WGT is working on the "Best Ball" feature right now. WGT saw how much everyone loved "Alt-Shot". WGT would be wise to implement "Best Ball" as soon as possible.

  I agree the Alt shot format is great fun but still some gremlins in the system, does anyone have as much difficulty as me trying to hit the TEE OFF button after assembling the four players needed ? there is usually a delay and in a lot of cases you need to resend the invites etc several times before the game activates ,,,,,,,anyone else had this problem ? A best ball format [foursomes] would be awesome so WGT CRACKING !!!! Also when if ever will the other courses ie ,Edgewoof / Tahoe Wold creek be available as full stroke play courses and not just CTTH or BLITZ venues ? can someone at WGT advise plz cheers

  I'll be honest, Best Ball is completely different beast. I do not expect it be done anytime soon.

  We want to implement it but it's many times more complex than AS (which was pretty complex), so If/when it will be in the works, we will update our roadmap.

  I have been playing "best ball" matches for over a year.....we simply set up a "stroke" match for four...we determine the partners and then play the match, keeping manual track of the holes won by each team...current situation in the match can be reviewed at anytime by looking at the scorecard...HB3

  How about a scramble format? That would sure hustle the games along and make for some good matches.

  HB and YJ  .. i have a feeling there is confusion between best ball and scramble.

  Best Ball has been around since 4 player matches began.   Best Ball = you use the best score from a 2 man team to determine the winning team for each hole.

  Scramble = for a 2 man team means ... you both tee off and select the best shot ... both hit from that point and continue in the same fashion until you putt out.   It's a good "golf outing" format for playing with a combination of golfers and non-golfers.

  Most people confuse the 2 because they believe they pick the "best ball" to hit their next shot from.

  Either way ... I'm not a fan of a Scramble since you always wind up playing the best golfers shots for most of the game.    Since you can already play Best Ball (4 ball) and now with alt shot (2 ball) ... you can really do a nice tournament now on WGT.

  You are quite right, but then again, the C and D players get to hit from areas they don't get to see very often.  LOL

  Just wondering if there has been anymore talk of the "Best Ball" format.
