I found this amusing, and had to post something. I could never figure out why some countries are ineligible to play in some Tournaments, free ones. Now I see the Glenmorangie Old Tom Challenge is not open to some countries, like Norway, but is open to Bouvet Island. The only problem with that is that Bouvet Island is a frozen wasteland just north of Antarctica,  and is uninhabited.

Even though Bouvet Island is near Antarctica, it is a territory of Norway(hence the Norwegian flag). So the 5 million people of Norway are not eligible to play, but no one living on Bouvet Island are. Must be some sort of WGT logic that I just don't get.

Not strictly true. There were a number of players from the Bouvet Islands who suddenly appeared a few years ago, and very good they were too. Then for some reason their accounts mysteriously disappeared.

Those players may have had the flag from there, but the island is uninhabited and used mostly by research teams.
