    Let's spin this idea.

I believe if in single play 4 round tournies, the leaderboard was hidden until the conclusion of each round, then participation might increase.

The motivation to play a tourney when u already see a 56 posted has to have an affect, I know myself I probably won't bother.

Generally I play without looking, so at least I can give the round my full concentration, and if that isn't good enough, then so be it.

Just make it an option when setting up, u already have the mechanism in place for RG's and Brackets.

It might make more play, so not a bad idea,  but then again I don't care about others scores.

I am just trying to improve my own game one shot at a time.

Hmmmmm generally if there are v good players, and someone is relying on a bad round  before they enter they might not bother at all.

See your logic but also could see less participation resulting.

A handicap system helps..In my club everyone has a chance to win a tournament regardless, other than a few members on a leave from the game we have 90% participation

We have good participation in ours, not so much all the little random ones i set as i set a lot to cater for different needs. Our main events have around 80%, recent one 94%, and they are handicapped so that does help and make lower tiers decide to play.

But i agree with OP, would make it more interesting to me, i like it. Suppose going to far for WGT as to make it an option when setting tourny up....i.e hidden leaderboard yes/no

Certainly if there are credits involved, the leaderboard should be hidden until the end. It would be silly to pay credits to enter a tourney when you already know someone else has posted a score you are unlikely to beat.

I am in a very competitive ( high standard TL's everywhere ) club of 49 guys 'n gals, and IF 20+ enter a tourney that is about as good as it gets. However as much as I like to participate in everything , I am not going to throw away credits for tourneys or brackets where I have little or no chance in being in the top ten.

Hidden leaderboards won't solve that problem, but at least the temptation is there.

This has been requested in the past, and for credit tourneys it is a no brainer.

For free tourneys, I do not have an issue as I do not look at the leaderboard before I play (seldom look after either) and I accept my chances of winning are remote.......but nice when you can knock the top players off their perch once in a blue moon.

The danger is with these programmers, who knows what will go wrong if they make changes.

I have got to the stage I want no further changes and would rather them close the site for a month to fix all the issues rather than the band aid solutions they currently use.
