    Hi, Emmie here.

Question: As someone with a "white box" through "Sam Knows", the international web access testing site that tracks broadband access & use, why am I constantly affected by stutter?

And lose balls in the process because the bar SUDDENLY RUNS RIGHT?

I've posted this before and it's never been "approved" by the "moderators", mostly cause it's "negative" I guess.

Still, doesn't answer the question why - the "throttling-down", the stutter, inconsistent web servers...

And the data from "Sam Knows" doesn't mesh with the throughput/output WGT says it operates at.

    So, what's the deal?

And don't give me "free days" when everything "works the way it should" before it all doesn't. Ain't buying it, 'cause the "Sam Knows" figures don't match.

    So……………..Why?

    Hi Emmie,

Thanks for the post! Have you tried different browsers with our game? Some work a bit better than others depending on your system. For instance I know that Chrome runs great but when I try running the game on Firefox, my meter goes haywire. Also, give the steps below a try. Turning off background loading really made a difference for me. If you are still having issues, send our customer service dept a message at members@worldgolftour.com and they should be able to help as well!

    - Trouble shooting steps and system requirements, particularly clearing the browser and Flash cache:

     http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/635.aspx

    - Close other programs, browser windows and browser tabs

    - Have the wgt.com website open but minimized and not displayed

    - Play WGT in the original window size, do not maximize it to full screen

    - Turn off Reflections, Flag Animation, Background Loading, Avatar rotations, and WGT Lessons in your Options

    All the Best,
    WGTShamWow

I get the stutters here too - blips and meter pole vaults. I can play maybe 2-3 games in a row that's smooth as butter, then get the game from hell where every 2nd or 3rd shot is a stuttering nightmare, especially on putts. ive caught a few but u cant catch them all, and its bloody hard to stop the swing as it relies on timing.

now I know the wgt stock answer is to clear up crap - ive been here over 5 years and read the constant same things to improve the game. tried them all and thought to myself what a bunch of crap. its not my laptop - must be server congestion or some other crap that's crept into the system. either that or its programmed in to stutter - anti-cheat device?? don't know - no one here is transparent enough to say what we suspect.

for whats its worth, every update seems to create something that they cant fix. been waiting for months for some pretty easy fixes I would have assumed, but nothing as yet, apart from if something is making them money and broke its  priority fix.

I don't win friends with these posts, but the care isn't there for that reason. jst tryin to fathom the direction of this company and its not pointing the right way for me.

Nothing here that I have ever seen is perfect 100% of the time, but 99+% of the time the meter is fine. Ok I get the second rev same as anyone, and yes the odd glitch, but geez it is the odd glitch and not something that affects a round usually (v rare that it ever does).

Obviously I have no sight of what you are seeing, but the degree of issues you experience I never ever see.  I have certainly never lost (trying to think anyway) a ball over a meter glitch, and seldom ever lose a ball anyway.

What PC specs do you have? Browser etc...might be some computer whizzes here that might be able to help with more inf??

I had severe stutter, then for another purpose I updated my Graphics Card Driver and it's been smooth as silk ever since.
