So, on Champ greens, my putt was 15 ft, up 3,  and I hit about 12 ft because it always runs by if I miss....and it did again...by 8 ft?......I'm pretty sure if I hit 11 ft it would have been well short...I just cant figure how that keeps happening.

That's not normal.  I play Championship 14 greens in ReadyGo's all the time and I'd be hitting that putt for 14.3 - 14.8 Ft (should run by 1-2F).

Might just be a very weird hole position with some nice break too it with the end of the putt starting to go DH right at or after the hole.  Take a note on the hole and make adjusments in the future?

As far as Dinging shots........I'm a firm believer in trying to Ding most of your shots, even into the wind.  Check out the top 10-15 players on the leader board and look at some of their replays/games and you'll see them hitting the Ding/trying to hit the Ding on most shots too.

How many times have we seen Fmagnets hit 8 or 9 out of 9 Dings in 9holes (it's a lot).

Speaking for myself.........I've worked my C-T-T-H Top 10 Ready Go % to almost 50% (that's a goal!, lol) and it's all about the Ding.  There's no way you're going to be averaging 4-5 FT to the pin without trying to hit the Ding.

If the wind is blowing left to right say....10-12 mph....aim left of fairway and click late ....

ride the wind....dont fight the wind....unless there are trees in your way.

I only have one use for off ding shots.

    Draw

    Very early off ding.

Note the wind. Stay on Cam 1.

I tried a 'pull-fade'(?) or whatever you call it, aim left, hit late along w/ the wind which was L-R.  (maybe a bit similar to what Sara has said)

replay shows nicely on cam 4.

Technique 'A-1-H' is THIS diagram, scroll down.

To ding the shot is not the ultimate secret for low scores in this game.......to be able to calculate the length and to hit the shot mainly on the proper side of the "ding" is the secret.

Especially with putting not dinged shots are very effective.

That´s pretty obvious when you watch the vids of fmag, myself or some other players, who show their rounds.

"When an internet nerd creates an "auto-dinger" they go from logarithms to calculate the speed of the meter on it's way down to hit precisely the "prefect" shot, ding we call it."

The "simple" way to combat this is to, early on in the swing,  randomly vary the speed of the meter momentarily when it doesn't matter, slow it down or speed it up by incremental amounts then have it return to normal the last 3/4 of the meter. This way one time it may take say 1.50 seconds from start to ding, the next 1.80, the next 1.30 having that .50 variation immediately after the mouse is released but make the last 3/4 of the journey exact, like 1.0 seconds every time that way anyone that sets a math program timing it to click at the ding exactly the same every time after they release the mouse will be off on either side of the ding line by a lot but it won't affect anyone that clicks to hit the line unless they use a cadence from unclick-to-click which is weird anyway.
