My guess is that I will hit L-100 in about two weeks (only taking 6 months ;-} ). The Vapor L-100 irons are a done deal...no hesitation, and most likely the Nike driver just for kicks 'cause I don't imagine it to be anything more than my Bertha 96....what can I expect ? Is it longer ?  ~ SP ~

The Nike driver will be a good grab, if you do decide to get it. It flies just as far, if not further, than the L96 BB. I have the L96 BB and a guy I play with on here daily has the L100 Nike driver. We have our competition on who can out driver who every time we play. He out drives me more than I out drive some at times. But I will assume it's all in how you play the ball from the tee with spin. Nonetheless, either driver is good.

Just my opinion here guys, but I love the L100 Nike Covert. While it may only go a touch further ( I believe it's more than that but that's me) than the other High Level Drivers it all comes where you need it most...the carry!! The carry is at least 5 yards further than the rest, and again in my opinion only,  closer to 7-10 yards most of the time.

Or you could  wait a few more levels and get the new higher level Taylor Made R1. It is rated at 289 yards with high trajectory and a slower meter.

Maybe...My passion is not as it has been for a long time, maybe 1 or 2 games per day, usually a 9-hole stroke or CTTH, and I miss some days by accident, so 3 levels, each of which growing larger, would seem to require undisturbed, heavy play with drinks, to do it in a year. I see players with 110+ levels and wonder how it is possible, because it isn't, by me.  :-|

Not everyone wants a slow meter. It would be a different speed to the rest of your clubs so I don't see the point.

L103 is over 3 MILLION XPs....Don't quite know what WGT are up to there.  Some reward for long term players I guess is nice but as a carrot, well, good luck with that.  In fairness scoring wise it's pretty much wrapped up by L90 these days......Anyway that's another discussion their levels system:)

In all honesty with this one SP I really would wait for a free rental,  All those HL drivers are just so good, and one hi traj  287 yard driver  v another is all you are talking.  They just happen to be listed at different levels.

I have tried them both in free rentals and there is not much, if at anything, between them that I could see.  OK just a few rounds in a free rental so fwiw.

I rented the covert lev-100 last time round and distance wise no different to my R1, however it's trajectory is different, as demonstrated in the recent Icon challenge to bounce it over the burn at St Andies Hole 1, and stop it on the green.

Even Mags admitted he couldn't do it with the R1, because of the flatter trajectory.

It's a good club, in my limited experience with the BB driver it is better...ur gonna buy it anyway but here goes LOL

Glenmorage tourny for example...the R1 is 4 yrds longer on avg on every hole., but with the Nike you can stop the ball on the green w/ full b/s on hole #12 for an eagle try...the R1 tends to go on up the hill(I'm sure you can stop it, but I can't).....OTOH, on #10 the Nike won't go over the upslope on the front of the green, the R1 does...WITH a decent tailwind you get a eagle putt, but you get one on #12 everytime....on #15 the trap come in to play with a tailwind with the R1, you can just blast the Nike with backspin and take hem out of play without choking up on it....it seems to me there are 3 holes on most 9holes sides the Nike helps, and 1 hole the R1 would have had better results...#12 and #15 is the reason I use the Nike there...that's me, it's my opinion....

OH, full backspin off the tee with the Nike will cost you yardage, it stops like a PW....

I love it because it is versatile and long, Fmags is probably the best player here, he uses the R1 LOL, your call!
