Purchasing balls during a game

  Twice now, our friends at WGT have snatched my last ball, and have not given me the opportunity to finish the game with my preferred balls.....they put me on starter balls! This seriously affects my game play! There used to be a message saying something like: " this is the last ball of this type" and they gave you the opportunity to purchase new balls. Twice in a row now, after losing a ball, or WGT "snatching" one, I was not given this opportunity, and had to finish a round on starter balls with a very fast meter! Grrrrr. I guess from now on, I'll have to remember to have plenty of my preferred balls in inventory before starting a game. Also, I had better balls of different types in my bag that are better than starters, but can't switch in mid game, like I can in real golf. Are we going for authenticity here?...realism?....I think not!

  The golfers in the US Open can't change to a different brand of ball mid round either so that is authentic. Personally whenever I open the Game Client I look across to the Equipment section where it tells you how many balls are left. Then I buy more as required.

  +1 not often I agree with Ms.Fish 

  But here  it's easy if you enter a tournament with 1 ball left, then its all your own fault.

  I always know how many balls I have left , if I think I might play a tournament and lose a ball in the drink, I buy new ones, so that I will not feel like an idiot.

  I play with a 4 ball safety.

  You'd only get a message if the last ball in use is available in the Pro Shop.

  OTOH, due to changes in the "last ball" reporting, there are flaws in the game giving unneccessary or wrong information or omitting neccessary information - from former experience, the time they'd need to fix'em is unpredictable.

  Thus, it's good to keep an eye on the ball number.

  Wrong, Sir! Only one type of balls is in your golfbag, the others are in your garage - ehm - inventory.
