SGT - that's a strange post if you don't mind me saying so.

WGT's meter issues are actually good for the game, as it stops everyone with meter problems from shooting a good score ???? So, if I understand you correctly, the people who claim to never have meter issues ( a very small number in my opinion) must have a huge advantage over the majority of us ?

Yes, but the question is, how dramatically would those changes affect the game play and scoring. If you have ever played TWO their meter is far, far more forgiving but that is why you have people over there posting scores of -20 up to -36 in tourney's. Thats not golf.

I agree -20 is not realistic golf.  I think changes to by WGT to improve the meter would level the playing field.  We have players with high powered computers and video cards and knowledge to tweak their computers competing against players with average computers and no knowledge or desire to tweak their computer.  I'll say again, if our computers exceed minimum specs it should play smoothly without the need to tweak.

Once level, other factors in the WGT game exist to keep players from ridiculous scores.

(I have tried TWO and you're right the meter is smooth, its just one of many factors that allow those low scores.)

All in the interest of keeping it light, I thought our college educated split personality would like this. I read it in today's paper and immediately thought of someone special.  :-D

I view your comments about me as forum harassment, and name calling. Abuse report has already been sent. You two are going to learn that these forums aren't yours to post whatever you want about another member. There are forum rules, abide by them.

Jim, you didn't have to add anything to this discussion. Your cutting your own throat here.

Richard, we are simply trying to discuss something that we think matters - meter precision and stability. Do not take things personal. But you must be prepared that when you say "nothing is wrong, just play slower", people might have objections to that. That has nothing to do with you and your person since we have no clue about who you are. Personally I react against any statements that basically consist of "there is not problem because there is a workaround" because that is the kind of thinking that got me into computers many years ago. Computers and software are at embryo stage at the moment and will be for many hundreds of years more. But developers are not interested in going backwards, fixing errors, they want to go forward, inventing new things.

If no one is stopping them, they invent new things on top of bad things. That is were we come in. We force them to create a more solid ground for the future.

    Happy new year!

True that!  They also have the urge to re-write whole modules to fix a single bug.  I've been on both sides of that fence.

Boy you read a lot into that post, did not say that at all. I was making a comparative to see what kind of response andyson would make.

Um, excuse me Richard4168. I don't recall saying anything about you or to you. I will say though, if the shoe fits, wear it.  :-)

As with the meter issues,,,new format of Alternate shot...Is absolutely terrible when loading...When it does set-up,,,many times during the match,,,you need to Re-boot..

Though I have been winning 2 out of 3  matches,,,,a 3rd of my losses have come,,,without swinging a Club...Matches that load,,,then never begin,,,because of a loading problem. Then it shows the loss as a forfeit...

What gets me here,,,Where is the WGT support for their system...They'll take your $$$ in a second,,,put do not have the courtesy to give you the time of day...This Forum may give you an answer or two,,,but it is not a game support system...

Just once,,,I'd like WGT. to step to the plate..
