To end this fiasco, I've discovered an easy fix to the work you've so diligently put into fixing the meter. No setting affinity necessary.

    Happy new year!

    Tightrope:

I lost balls for a dollar today. Don't really know what to make out of this game. Since so many balls are lost due to a bug (even if it is inherent in Flash I think it must be considered a bug) and we are actually beta testing this thing, I find it hard to accept that we actually have to pay for their mistakes.

Return the lost balls to us, WGT. They wear out fast enough for you to earn money on them anyway.

    (3) By starting a beta game, you agree that: (i) playing beta games is at your own risk and that you know that the games may include known or unknown bugs, (ii) any value or status indicators that you achieve through game play may be erased at any time, (iii) WORLD GOLF TOUR (WGT) has no obligation to make these games available, (iv) WORLD GOLF TOUR's Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the games during the testing phase,.(insert from T&C)

FYI, in case you were not aware or may have forgotten...just saying.;)

I take it from most comments here that the majority of the players are happy with the functionality of the meter?

oneputtdavid, of course I know I am playing the game on my own risk, but I am also BETA testing the software and I am paying  REAL MONEY while doing so. I have also agreed that I, as a BETA tester, should report bugs that I discover in the game. Some of you seem to have agreed to a "protect WGT against criticism" clause, but believe me when I say that is counter productive because people coming in here saying we have no right to complain just stir up *** and make people more angry than before.

    Richard4168:

WGTsky, or WGTicon, please moderate ...

I think maybe it is better to mail them of you feel harassed. I also think that you should consider that maybe you yourself are guilty of the exact same things that you accuse Andyson of.

Tightrope, for what it's worth, the said member has kept this going with me since way before you were a member at WGT.com.

    Happy new year.

    Richard4168:
You made a personal attack on me by questioning my opinion because it wasn't to your liking. That's where you went off-topic as everyone saw.

    There's the problem.

You posted what I viewed as two contradicting opinions.   I questioned it.  That is on topic.  All I "instigated" was a discussion. That's what happens in forums.   Rather than respond on topic by explaining or clarifying those opinions, you went off-topic and made it personal.

I don't always question your opinion (harass in your mind), If it makes sense to me I'll support it as I did here when you said:  "A slower rate of play would reduce meter problems considerably for a lot of members."  I agreed and went on to provide supporting tests.

Please get back on topic Richard.   Do you think there are changes WGT could make to improve the meter or not?

Yes, but the question is, how dramatically would those changes affect the game play and scoring. If you have ever played TWO their meter is far, far more forgiving but that is why you have people over there posting scores of -20 up to -36 in tourney's. Thats not golf.
