Strange shots

  Yesterday I was playing a round on Kwaih and on the 12th i took what i thought was a great drive bang on the line with a nice ping sound after the shot, but to my horror it went way left and ended up in the sand,.there was a 2 MPH wind behind me so that would not affect the shot at all.has anyone else had this sort of problem?

  Me too.

  St Andrews, front nine par five.  My second shot, pinged the swing, ended up 30 yards short of the green and 30 yards left, deep in the fescue.  This seems to happen every 10 rounds or so, and I've been wondering if the game is designed that way;  ie:  the diamond 99 times out of 100 automatically is on the pin, or on line with the pin.  The one time out of a hundred they move the sucker, and you assume its on the pin but it's not.

  there was an active thread running for a couple of days on the forum called "if anyone" started by Priestess. It deals with the issue and is to complicated to try an explain in short, so please try to look this thread up and read. It's very educational although I am not sure what the final answer was.

  no one on this thread mentions wind and where they aimed.   Dings are great, but not essential to a good shot.
