From the balls I have tested so far I prefer the 3,0 meter speed with the lvl 97 Nike irons. I seem to be waiting on the 3.5 meter balls and hitting early. I've tried out the lvl 48 Nikes which I liked and as I rely on the vids and surveys are more in my price range. Been testing out the lvl 51 Volviks which IMO perform fairly similar to the lvl 48 Nikes. Going to try out the lvl 71 Nikes and then I guess it's a case of choosing one and sticking with it.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

U won't go wrong getting them.

I went from the R11's to the 97's, but only for a short while until the Vapors came out.

The accuracy on dinged shots is astounding, it will take ur breath away.

I'm beginning to feel that the 97 and 100 Nikes must be seriously OP lol.  Why so?  To back up to my previous post about a dude always in top 3 of CTTH using the MaxMeterSlowTourPro+.............

I bought 4 sleeves!!! of those very expensive balls and extensively mapped them on 3 different courses (took 4 balls in itself).  Now I will say, it was hitting the Ding well over 50% of the time and misses where just by a hair, however, those balls suck =/.  I always thought the 2.5 spin would add even further to control but boy was I wrong.  It could just be the MaxMeterSlow balls but, although I was hitting Ding/close to it more often my shots where actually much more irratic on the long run.

No consistency at all, and the low 2.5 Spin makes it very difficult to stop 4i,3i into anything w/out some wind in the face.  Even 5i with slight wind at back would have quite a bit of roll (w/ full b/s too).

So my point?  Those level 97 and level 100 Precision must be the cause for their good scores, not some overpriced, ugly, and inconsistent ball ;)    So definitely pick the Irons up when you get a chance!!  ;)

Interesting. Did you map all shots w/ FBS?  It has been suggested, generally, that the more the spin dot is adj. e.g. to FBS, the more deviation may be added.

That is an affirmative- I use level 81 Nikes with the 97 irons and it  is imperative with sidewinds you hit into the wind with full backspin- or aim way farther from hole than u think....ie calculate

Hit 58 1st round and 58 on uel's 2nd round out with L97 nikes and max balls..

And did that consistently with Rll's and Max balls....

I was passing on observations because Lily* is/was using the 90 Nball (4.6 spin)  w/ the 97s and using little or no spin adj. (some exceptions like flops, etc.) with great results. But maybe a MAX ball w/ low spin (2.5 approx. or whatever) needs more spin dot adj. which may/may not equal a higher deviation circle. I'm just wondering about that possible aspect.

What I'm curious about is that a nike 90 ball may have similar stick without touching the spin dot...compared to the max ball.

Actually, what Icon suggested was this:

    WGTicon:
Also, when you choke on a club, and hit bs, all these elements introduce a higher chance to have a deviation.

Which tells us not all shots deviate.  And it does not mean a higher deviation circle. Or mean a huge deviation may happen.

That would be my understanding of Icon's statement as written.   Perhaps Icon  could clarify?

    @ Andy!! ;)

You have those OP 97s!, lol, so I really have a hard time giving you credit ^^.  Since I've changed back to my Callaways I've already got some nice CTTH scores waiting.  I mapped the those MaxslowMeters at 100% B/s and 50%.

It's a double edged sword when using lots of b/s (which I prefer when possible).  Wind and off ding shots definitely effect the balls flight.  On the flip side, Dinged and near Dings have much more control and accuracy (imo, easily so) than shots with less spin.  I.e., using my 33 Callaways with full B/S my 6i will (95% of the time) carry 168-170.  That same 6i with no spin will range from 177-184.  So for me, I will always maximize b/s if the shot presents itself.

Maybe I didn't give those MaxMeterBalls a fair chance but my consistency, accuracy, and bank-roll (lol, i play CTTH to earn money for new clubs, not ugly balls!) were all in the craps. I'm still very new though, so I'm learning along the way.

I'd be curious to see what peoples opinions are on the Volvik 51s??  The 4.0, 4.0, 2.5, 3.0 ball.  I'm looking for an upgraded from my Callaways but I'd like a lot more consistency than what I experienced from the MaxMeters (which is too bad because I love hering DingDingDing all day).
