"PLAY NOW" constantly flashes

  Every so often when I log on, the "PLAY NOW" box you click on to get to the "second screen" constantly flashes, and says that I have a game in progress when I don't. So I can't get to the second screen, which means I can't play. Only way I have been able to get rid of that flashing screen is to restart my computer and hope the next log on won't have a flashing screen.
  
  This has been going on since the "update" hat also removed the reverse view when other players are putting. Can anyone help with this flashing screen problem?
  
  And anyone at WGT...is this yet another one of those "unexpected glitches" that we are told you're working to correct...while we wait and wait for that to happen?

  This! We've been told "soon" which is the Twelfth of Never as rumour has it, and we've been told ASAP which leaves us with a wide field of speculation since we were also told that there be no downtime (and fix) until August.

  My way to remove it on FF is, close all WGT windows but one, and hit "reload". Usually, the first window works here.

  Or, close all browser windows and reopen one(!) for WGT.

  Well, the cause of this problem must be on our, on the players side.

  There are no bugs and glitches at WGT. If something is wrong while playing the game, the reason is the used browser, the flash player version, any cache, or the beefsteak a man had for dinner in Seattle at the 4th of October in  the year 1983.

  If the 'PLAY NOW' button on the left is missing or flashing, you can open the game window by going to your profile page, clicking on    then click on    and the game will open.

  Very simple work around actually. Use 1 browser to play setting its home page to the game client and a 2nd browser to do everything else. Doing this you never have to play by clicking on play now and as your second browser is used for everything else you won't have 2 game windows of the same browser open  so you  won't have the flashing play now button. 

  When the update first happened I had no clue what people were talking about with the flashing play now button because using 2 browser as I did I wasn't seeing what many other players saw.

  The only time I've had a problem with this is when I have 2-3 WGT screens open at the same time. when I open our club page twice to look at scores and compare them, this happens on mine. To me it looks like a security measure so you can't play on 2 different profiles at the same time.

  You could just play with two browsers to avoid that.  I use Maxthon for WGT alone,  I would like to have several WGT windows open but  it's just a minor annoyance for me. Just like the game's seeming inability to let your browser remember your log in details.

  You could do like Briton says and use two different browsers, one for the game client and another for the forum, if you disable flash in the browser for the forum, that gets rid of the flashing bit.

  If you like to use just the one browser though, you can still achieve the same thing.

  Launch the game client, then disable flash, then if you open another tab/window to view the forum, there won't be any flashing area, but the game client will still run okay provided you don't refresh it. (This worked okay for me in IE, Chrome and Maxthon).
