Losing Out on XP

  In our club there is a matchplay competition over 9 holes. The parameters are set out that if the competition ended in a draw, the competition is over for both players, even though WGT deem it otherwise and have you restart from the 1st hole to determine who the winner is.

  If both players decide to end the game before teeing off, why doesn't WGT award XP, after all I earned it?

  If u r worried about XP's then extra holes would have given u a lot more xp's, so seems pretty dumb for u both to abort.

  No you didn't as far as they're concerned. They have nothing to record because there's no record of the game if you agree to quit. Simple solution is to agree to your draw and then somebody lose the 10th hole. Win, win.

  Error 1: There are XPs given for the strokes you took, they are awarded one by one, see the flash on the XP meter after each of your shots.

  Error 2: The big bunch of XPs are awarded on completion of a game, and it's not completed on a tie, see above. IIRC, even a "concede match" will leave the game uncompleted, dunno about a "concede hole".
