Wish there was something of a decent choice between level 90 and level 96...I can change to the level 90 but i dont think stats are better than my SLDR. Soon i will be level 93 and then can upgrade but that driver has med/high trajectory.

So looks like i plod on for a year to get the level 96 Bertha.

    So what's wrong with that?

The harder question is : "What's good about it ? "

High will balloon with HW.  You can control that to some extent with topspin, but that's where high trajectory is not shining.

Med - High is lower flight.  Gosh you can tell I am sharp :).........

Now memory tells me (hmmm so allow latitude here) the SLDR is not real high trajectory like the L96+ jobs, and so you are not up for some dark night and bright day difference trajectory wise.  You will also not eternally out drive the already v good SLDR, but what you will get is guaranteed length and size does matter.

I think Mainz once eloquently used a public toilet analogy for SLDR man versus R1 man.  SLDR man will stand closer and conservatively shake three times upon finalising urination.  R1 man will stand well back, and no need for conservatism upon shaking.

Using the L81 ball I never run out of fway from full length tees.  Playing off reds loads the higher trajectory the better as drop it stop.  #15 Andys with a mod TW you will need to think that drive through more with the R1 though, but hardly difficult.  Arguments after that will rage all day as to whether the high trajectory drivers are best or the R1 is best.

Personally I have never felt the want to replace my L93 Black R1, not even against the L103 driver...........whole different argument bu then though:)

With the R1 though I can stand farther back at the urinal, and so I have no hesitation in recommending it to you hands down.

LOL. Well apart from answering it as usual Jim, you have made my day with the urinal analogy.

Lets hope its still there when i do get to lev 93 as im sick of crouching over this pot.

'Joshing' aside, at a certain point in time, it can be wise to own both the high and the med-high to be best prepared for a certain venues. The med-high is the performer, as example, at St. Andrews. As we age in the game, there is nothing wrong with having multiple choices with top drivers, just as many do with top wedges, so as to be able to be best armed for a particular situation. Over time, as one accumulates a variety of clubs, it is wise to hold on to the good one's as opposed to taking a 75% fleecing by selling it back....unless credits are an issue.  ~ SP ~

Hey Bubbs take a look at the L90+ R15 driver as an alternative . Just in case the 93+ R1 is gone  before you reach  it . It`s the same meter speed as your irons and only 2 yards less than the 93+ limited edition . Stats also show its better than the 89+ SLDR and its high trajectory . The perfect back up plan just in case .

But if you do make it by all means get the 93+ Black and if not get the 90+R15 . Hope fully there may be another free rental so you can take it for a test spin . Good luck and remember never swing with your eyes closed . :-)

Bubbs,  Get the Level 93 R-1 driver as fast as you can. I don't care about what the stats say, I've tried em all and this club is the best driver on WGT.

Thanks folks but i fear next update it maybe gone pfft (hope im wrong)

Playing a lot as usual but im going to break my consecutive playing days in 2 days time so thats going to set me back on the XP trail. With 15000 to go I would have hit that in  6 days or so easy.

WGT maybe kind and leave it there ;-)

Or Lonnie i will go with your option
