Blatant cheating, surely

  This evening while waiting around for a game to start, I thought to have a go at a Blitz game. Something I rarely do nowadays . Now I have no objection to a player at Hack Tier hitting a few good shots , but a Hack in this game was hitting every shot to 2 ft from the pin !!

  I casually asked whether he had played much before ( I already had his profile up ). He said not much, in fact was his 6th game of Blitz since he started on 17th July.He has played nothing else, but those 6 games

  However he freely admitted that he was a Tour Legend when he played WGT on Facebook, but had started a 2nd account using another platform,

  This in my mind is blatant cheating!! How long do we have to tolerate this sort of stuff. I have screenshots of the chat, which I will send to WGT, but will it do any good . I doubt it very much. WGT seem to care very little about the cheating going on here nowadays

  No one seems to have checked the report about  a player just by chance having cheat engine on the PC they used in a internet cafe.

  Not 100% sure on this but I think whatever results WGT obtains will not become 'public record'.  That is NOT to say that nothing will be done about it.  I believe WGT has said before that whatever the results are of an investigation,  it is not YOUR business, but WGT's and they will act accordingly.

  If this isn't true then, never mind.

  I've heard the facebook app is a terrible format for wgt.  Players don't receive CC messages, etc... I know other TL's have asked WGT to transfer their equipment, level and tier over to their site in the past.  I assume this player didn't ask or was denied (I've heard other TL's being denied).  I'm not sure why WGT would allow some to transfer and not all though?  

  If the player in question isn't playing for credits and is being above board with everything (admitted he was once a TL) I don't see the problem here.  Original poster is on the same club as I but since we don't do "group think" I don't think Rich will have a problem with my slightly different (lol) take on this.  Of course if the player is placing in the Hack Weeklies and has won MPC against other Hacks then he/she should be booted immediately.

  Yep IMO

  The FB app seems a fast $ grab, not designed to look after people who really get in to the game.  Provided no credits are involved and the guy is being open I don't see an alternative for some of these people if WGT refuse to allow them to transfer over after asking.  

  Now if credits are involved against good way higher tiers I would see the funny side of just deserts, and then boot, LOL.

  He said he was too upstanding to ever actually turn it on.

  Brilliant CTTH player.......................Also a few short glances at lower tier anything, and names like bagging for life doing well and and and................Trying to clean those symptoms up would be like stopping flys on a turd heap in the tropics, with only a swat covered in fresh crap..........

  I take it WGT allow real world prizes to lower tiers??  bad enough with internet cafes at top level, but lower down levels are so easy to get to it's even more obviously worse.

  WGT had a big chance to show that they took cheating seriously. They had all the proof  staring them in the face, yet did nothing about it.  They chose to accept  the lamest excuse going. Yes  there is a chance that a PC in a cafe could have CE installed. But what are the odds that it would have kat's putting meter  also installed. Probably about a squillion to one.
