Club and Ball set up

  I am new to the game and am only level 23, I was just wondering should I wait for a higher level to upgrade and if not what should I buy.

  From what I read here, the level advancement is really fast up to around L-70 ? That being the case, waiting seems the smarter tac...as for now, better wedges are likely to provide the most pleasure  ~ SP ~

  I'll give my advice.  Upgrade your driver at level 49 and get the Taylor Made R1.  Get the Ping G25's irons when you reach level 59.  Dump your hybrid and get 3 evenly spaced wedges.  There are some nice Cleveland or Taylor Made wedges available to you at levels 26-39.  I would wait to upgrade your ball until you have your irons.  No need to spend money on balls until you have proper equipment.  As far as balls the Nike 20XI-S (L47+) or the Nike 20XI-X (L48+) will be plenty good enough and not break the bank at 400cr.  If money is tight the Callaway Hex Chrome (L33+) would suffice at 250r.

  Until you reach these levels which will be in short order play all the courses learn them and have fun.

  Same old again...

  You say, play Starter irons until level 59. Arguable but not my point of discussion.

  But, being stuck with a Starter PW of 90 yds, how would any reasonable combo of three wedges fit below it?

  Me thinks that two short wedges are enough for a start, 50 - 77 or 60 - 80, and the third wedge may wait until the irons' purchase.

   

  Furthermore, the Starter balls are a nuisance and there are real budget balls available:

  B-ES for 10 cr, and - special hint - Tour-SD @65 cr.
