Correct me if I'm wrong here but doesn't the click of the mouse on the swing initiate the data transfer,

Correct.  However, in theory another request could be made during ball's flight to remove and replace pin.  It's just a 0 or 1.  This request would be treated separately from your shot data.  I could see some sync issues arising from waiting until the very last second to pull the pin, basically making you late.  But I'd be alright with that.

We're talking less than 200 milliseconds (depending on network conditions) for a round trip on that.

+1 Jim - the shot calculation is complete when the ball starts to move.

It's one of those little "glitches" most have known about for ages.  Small thing on the list so not often asked about.  No harm in raising the point "again" but on the list of what needs doing it's not been high up.

Always pull the pin before you shoot or risk OOB if the flag stick is a possible, and that's it................I get asked several times pulling the pin from that range LOL..................Hmmm the sweet bliss of the uninitiated to these parts:)

I'll see if I can come up with anything useful in search about this, because if I'm flogging a dead horse here then I'd just as soon not waste everyone's time.

I understand your point about WGT fixing this issue one way or the other, and I agree(along with about 50 more "old" issues)but...You just hit the nail on the head ;-).

I`m still very surprised at the amount of people that still think pulling the pin after the shot`s been taken will effect it though :-)...for me, I`m just ecstatic that they gave us the option to remove it at all...it was pure hell to play without that option...believe me, lol.

The shot is decided the instant you strike the ball on every single shot......fairway,,rough or green. That's why you get the "heartbeat ' in blitz and the slight delay on a "sunk" final putt on the last hole. Anything you do after the ball is struck is useless.....except of course hollering-- GET IN YOU SUMBEECH  ;)

Just pull the pin every time before you take the shot,   too easy.  ;-)

The videos that everyone has been waiting for. Yancy gets to the truth, as is so often the case:

    Yancy asks the hard questions...

...Professor Magnets is brow-beaten into answering.
