  THE CHRISTMAS CC CHALLENGE 2015

   

  Hello all

  Welcome to round 10 of 11 rounds

  Wow where have the last two weeks gone,two weeks to xmas

  Are you all getting ecxited, my family are,my house looks like santas grotto lol,

  Only two more rounds to go and you can rest easy with me not hassling you all,

  Matchplay, 18 holes

  another very tough matchplay course,

  i love this course but it doesn’t love me lol

  there are holes on here which are nightmares gl,

  
  

  Play starts 14^th dec  and must be completed by 28th  dec

   

  Anyone with a -2  by their name must concede hole 4 and 16

  Anyone with a -4 by their name must concede holes 4,5,14 and 16

  
  

  SELA have another tough match against our Spanish friends,the Madrid pares,

  No game is easy anymore and the English lakes club have given them a hard battle,

  NQHP1 have a tough match as well against the English lakes club,

  Its tough at the top lol,

  
  

  We are having our own battle down the bottom half to see who can claim

  That 7 th  spot lol.

   

  I will update tables on Tuesday,any games not completed by midnight Monday will be a draw.

  Final match in round 9 played, sorry it was not done before end of Sunday, damn that real life getting in the way!

  Just got my backside handed to me on a plate like a Christmas dinner by DoubleEagleRob.

  Great to see such a tough course like Merion tamed with Champ greens to boot. I was ahead early doors....ok, I holed the first birdy on the 1st (EDIT, it appears on watching the replay I didn't even do that, but I did have the honours for about 5 holes :) ) then missed a couple of shortish putts, big mistake. Rob got an eagle on 2 and was -7 by the turn, bit tooooo hot for me, by 7 , lol.

  Got a couple back and showed Rob I could play on the back 9, but a pleasure none the less seeing that course played so well, I forgot the birdie on 5 he drained too!

  Final score:

  DoubleEagleRob - 45

  Affo - 40

  Well played English Lakes, ensures a close finale!

  Good luck all, think that was my last game in this fine comp due to Tiering up recently, but enjoyed my games, all played in correct spirit!

  Very well played to all NQHP1 team,  there were some very close matchs, only a point in it. Think all my team had issues with the greens lol,  you just holed more putts.

  the SELA team are only 9 points ahead from NQHP1 after losing ground to

  The ENGLISH LAKES CLUB,

  NQHP1 have got them this round so could SELA  a favour.

  SELA have got THE MADRID PARES so no quarter given there,

  either way its gonna set a mouth watering last set of matches.

  IMPARES have taken third spot after winning their local derby.

  this could go down the wire lol.

  the bottom half hasnt changed except NQHP2 has jumped in front after taking the spoils against our side,

  I beat Mickcharville 3 UP. I was given 2 shots and nothing in it until i birdied 17 to win. Mick was unlucky with some rough and i was leaving some putts short (champ green worry lol) but we had a great bit of fun and good conversation on way round, true gent, good luck.
