If you reach the new tier of Champion, WGT is prepared to give you the amount of 250 credits as a reward.

A bit of math: as far as i understand you need 200 ranked rounds to get there, and they have to be good enough to get you a low enough average, so 200 seems to be the minimum. But lets be generous and take that 200

Ranked rounds are 9 or 18 holes divided,, and you probably play more 9 hole games then 18, so lets be generous here and say an averaged 12 holes per ranked round

Every hole takes even par 4 strokes per hole, but lets be generous here. The players going for this are probably closer to 3 strokes a hole

    200 x 12 x 3 = 7200 strokes

For those 7200 strokes, which btw is the absolute minimum you need to get to the next tier of champion, you need balls. The average lifetime of a ball is, and lets be generous here, is about 200 strokes. This means that you need 36 balls or 12 sleeves for those 200 ranked rounds. And this is for the absolute top players, all the others need more.

Those 12 sleeves will cost the player about 8000 credits

Again, the reward for the tier of Champion is 250 credits, the equivalent of about 1 ball. And its not even that that bothers me, we know not better because in the past the reward for moving up a tier was not more then about 20 credits, i believe ( cant remember, too long ago).

What bothers and annoys the crap out of me is that WGT seems it fitting to advertise their generosityof those 250 credits big on the game client. I think its just embarassing to be honest.

Give us a bit of our investment back, elts say 3 sleeves of balls and that would be something to announce big anywhere !!

Waiting for New Ideas Central to interject but with the information at hand I think 250 credits about sums up the worth of the the tier.

If you are saturated as a TL (within the new system) you could load starter clubs and ball and bang round St As F9 shootin' 90 each go 200 times and then you are a Champ - thrilling.

If you are a red tee jockey you can load Beth F9 reds and do that 200 times or Merion B9 say and get there easy too (assuming say 56 is the mark ???)...Pretty low skill level required.

The whole thing just looks like a twist on the clash , and we thought that was daft, and we were right and more importantly it got ditched because most never bothered.

This is part of the business model, the well-known grinding,

    - grinding for levels and their clubs,

    - grinding for averages and saturation,

    - grinding for tiers.

(not to mention the Clash grind for the Golden Calf)

When calculating, don't forget that putts are freebees, generously given for nuttin'.
