Any tips in case this happens again? Was on the green, so my only real shot option was putt.

Anyway, it went in the hole. The wrong hole.

Also, how does one go about having their forum post bypass moderation? Figured after three years or so and less than 20 posts it wouldn't be an issue. Of course that post count doesn't include the handful that were rejected by the mods. WGT hates criticism.

If you were on the green then a flop wouldnt work . That would be a 2 putt . What you would do is move the marker up to the right so you can safely putt right of the ding to remain on the green and then putt from there . This is why course management is so important .

You have to learn ball placement because thats what will keep you out of trouble and from shots like this one . Sometimes you will have to move the marker on approach shots and this is one of them .By moving the marker to the right your second shot should have gone down the right side and avoided ending up in that spot .

Some shots you have to move the marker and then play off the ding  for better ball placement and position .

As for posts hit up either Icon or shoe and let them help you out on that one . They can bypass the wait time on posts .

can always take your 64 wedge out and  use a full shot. say if its 30 yrds to the hole you'll have to hit it about 60 yards.

This is definitely one of those places where a 64W full shot is totally appropriate. Fast, easy way to remember how hard to hit it is double the yardage. It's not perfect but it'll definitely get you a save putt.

On that particular hole you're going to have to know what to expect on the roll after it lands. Lonnie's advice to play to the right would probably give you the best results because it'll roll down to the hole. Trying to go over the trap is probably going to run through the green because of the downslope on the other side of the trap.

*edit-Went out to the same spot to see. The best option by far is to hit the full 64W. Putting to the right is pretty much a 3 putt, going through the rough runs through the green because you have to hit it so hard. I took about 10 tries and couldn't get closer than 27 feet short. Any harder putts ran through the green. The full shot was hit at 50 yds BUT these are slow greens and the ball doesn't roll as much. Tourney greens and it probably runs through.  Pick your poison.  LOL

That's what I'm talking about! Thanks for sharing this, because I was totally stumped. I tried flopping it, even though I knew it wasn't going to work (just went into the bunker). Hopefully I don't find myself in this position again, but at least I have some tools to get out of it now.

You can also Punch a 60yd wedge

    That was at ~90% power.
