The webpages of these discussion forums are encoded in UTF-8 Unicode, which is today's standard and as it should be. Ironically, UTF-8 is not as strictly needed here, in English-language forums, as it would be welcome in the Chat window.

Currently, when chatting to others during play, you can only type letters from Western European alphabets. It looks like chat is encoded in the legacy encoding ISO-8859-1. (German diacritic letters do work.) When you attempt to type diacritic letters from Central European languages, these result in empty spaces. So, when playing with our countrymen, we're forced to use a "crippled" version of our alphabet for chat, minus all the diacritic letters (which is about every second letter), i.e. substituting plain-vanilla non-diacritic letters for them.

And, should you be Russian, the Chat window pretty much won't allow you to type a single letter of your alphabet. Given that Russia, China, etc. are huge potential markets, wouldn't it be profitable for WGT to work on switching the Chat window completely to UTF-8 Unicode?

    Thank you.

PS: Theoretically, it might also be a question of the font used in the Chat window, if this is no full-range Unicode font.
