Glenmorangie Challenge Championship - Now Open!!

  Hi All,

  The Glenmorangie Challenge Championship is now available!!! This is an invite-only tournament, open to the top 100 Legends and 100 Tour Legends plus ties from the July Glenmorangie Challenge Qualifier standings. Qualifiers will compete on St Andrews in two single-play rounds for a 200,000 WGT Credit total purse, with two final champions – one from both the Legend and Tour Legend tier. Post your Round 1 score by 8/14/15 and your Round 2 score, 8/15/15-8/21/15. Open to qualifying players only, see rules for details.

   Qualifying players should receive an invite email advising that they are qualified to enter or you can also check by going to the tournament page and if eligible, you should be able to click to play!

  what is the prize breakdown? It is listed as only top 3 paid

  please give EVERYONE the same garbage winds I had. Of the 8 possible eagle holes, I could only reach 2 of them as the rest were into the wind. 

  The random wind stuff is not realistic. The idea of the wind changing during a round is also not realistic. As a meteorologist, I can assure you with 100% certainty, the winds do not vary like they do here

  I did shoot a 58, so I am venting after a semi decent round

  it was a unlimited play Derek,hence the very low scores..i guess they could even the winnings out a bit more too m8 :(

  people have the patience to play and play it to death until they get a great round and good luck to them,but me i haven't got the time or patience for that lol...

  in my opinion they should make it single play only...i shot a 57 after 1 attempt but couldn't be arsed to give it another go :)

  I have the pay out breakdown per tier below. Please note that this can also be found under tournament rules on the tournament page along with other info about the tournament. Everyone gets the same random chance at winds.

  1st Place:  60,000 credits

  2nd Place:  30,000 credits

  3rd Place:  10,000 credits

  for a RG, its fine because there are so many of them. We get a bad wind set, we can merely play another one right after we finish.

   

  However, for single play major tournaments, you are taking some of the skill out of this with random winds. If we get a bad wind set, our tourney is done. Isn't this a skill based game? Why not simply give everyone the same winds in major tourneys like this or the VUSO? I'm not the first to mention this fact on here

  Should be a top 10 payout..... imho

  1st 30,000

  2nd 20.000

  3rd 10,000

  40,000 split next 7 places makes more sense ??

  Give 10 % in each tier a chance....

  No-one NEEDS 60,000 credits !!

  All that will happen now is that the 'usual suspects' will top up their already over full coffers ?

  Gotta learn to spread the love WGT...

  ONE more opportunity to do good, for more....wasted I feel.

  Edit: Unless WGT ARE trying to give the credits to those that have and NOT to those who may NEED....therefore giving nothing away really, as the winners will be those that NEVER buy credits anyway !!!

  why are the payouts for TL and L the same?

  I would have thought being the highest tier (up till now) it should get the majority of the prize money.

  not taking anything away from the legends tier but seriously how is it that the lower tier has the same payouts?

  Don't you fret now.....

  Guarantee at least TWO of the winning 'Legends' ( cough), should be in the TL tier anyway !!

  That should be the caveat....

  "As a bonus, we WGT will be moving the top 3 winners up to the next tier as a recognition of your achievements"

  With the ludicrous prize $ split, it is probably worth their while.

  It is single play this month, both rounds are..

  I got so royally screwed over and over and over again that I actually wished for the first time ever that it was unlimited. -8 after 17 holes with a good few par 4's from closer tees, had a birdie putt on 18 for a 63 but out of sheer frustration I chose to hit 7 putts, max out and card a 70.

  If I had known it was T3 only I would have wd after being -4 f9..

  I know I'm not alone with this but the gameplay/meter/graphics are so erratic since the update that I have no clue what to do to fix it and play consistently well, I feel like a hack half the time..
