If you had already played 500+ rounds at TL before the update, then another 200 ranked rounds and an average of 56.  If not then probably 700 ranked rounds and 56 average, I'm a wee bit less confident on that though.

Quite a good summary of our guesswork -  the best that we have now.

Let me add that apparently the best 300 rounds in each TL's mix have been deleted, saturated or not.

I thought it was the best 300 were removed, leaving the bottom 200, but it makes little difference anyway.

What they also seem to have done is changed it so your average is now based on 200 rounds, not 500, making it easier to drop your average to 56.  Basically now 200 28's are needed when before it would have taken 500.

I'm not sure if the average being worked out from 200 rounds is generally accepted as true. The reason I believe it is someone said this in my CC so I checked at my next decent score.  Before it my average was at 62.79, I scored 29 and went to 62.75. Based on 200 rounds the 58 would replace a 66 (62.79 x 200 = 12,558, 62.75 x 200 = 12,550) for 500 rounds it would be replacing 78 and an 86 at 700 rounds according to my arithmetic.

    I stand corrected - 200 are left.

And I don't see it easier when more than the best half of all scores is being deleted - this kind of scores must be filled up first.

As of today, eight players have arrived at Champion tier. Their levels spread from 137 to 94, and, more interesting, their average go up as far as 59.17!

If may be by chance that both highest numbers are to be found at the same person.

Anyway, 59+ puts a new light on the average threshold - is it 60? Will all TLs eventually become Champions?

Yes - but if their Average resets when they hit Champion - you won't know what it was when they were promoted if you look after the fact! It will have reset and changed to the new number.

One Champion had an average of 50.   Only because his 1 round since promotion was a 25 over 9 holes. He did not get promoted at 50.

So looking at the averages now tells you absolutely nothing about what it was at the point they were promoted.

You are correct. 7 am was too early for me ;)

But the situation should be clear for the C with 57,87 ave. Only one game as a C, on the Par5.

This raises the probable threshold to 58 minimum.
