    Hi guys

After a very recent "Maintenance" event, my average suddenly increased by 4.0 !

WGTAlex said that he would look into it, but to date, my loss of 4.0 has not been reinstated.

Please can you correct this fault immediately.

    Regards

Alex hasn't been here in years and wasn't a he. You're stuck with the new average because of the change WGT made in the last update when the Champion tier was introduced. Mine also went up 4 strokes but is coming back down in a hurry.

Basically, you get to start over in your tier, working on something meaningless.  :-)

I hear you Jim...but out of all the "friends" I play on WGT with, none of them had an increase in their average...none of them. Like your good self, my average is coming down quickly but the fact remains that if they decide to readjust players' averages because of the introduction of new tiers, the they should adjust everybody...not just a few. Anyway, good luck and play well.

You may note that only TLs were affected, and the increase depended on their averages' status.

Common opinion among forum posters is that up to 300 of their best scores have been deleted from their average's pool. This affects seasoned TLs less because they have a plethora of very good scores. OTOH, it may have risen the average a lot when a big spread of scores was in the mix.

Our best guess today is that, together with a 58 average, at least 200 more scores are necessary to tier up to Champion.

Along with what Alosso pointed out, the averages won't change until a ranked round is played. So if a player just does AS, Blitz, MP, etc., they won't see a change until the first ranked round is posted.
