Flash hangs on to memory

  My friends and I - PC and Mac - have noticed that Flash doesn't release memoir when it' doesn't need it anymore. It starts a game using somewhere between 250 and 350 MB, and is well over a Gig after a nine hole practice game. At about 850 MB, it becomes unusable for this of us without extreme game set ups. 

  Any way you could teach flash to clean up after itself?

  You have to quit out of all your browsers on PC/Mac.

  Then flash will quit and clear out the cache.

  Use FF or Waterfox and use the "Memory Fox" add-on (browser/flash memory cleaner).  Since using it my gameplay has been much improved.  It's not always perfect but I've been able to put in some nice ReadyGo CTTH scores (and Valhalla too).

  So imo, it's worth a try.  Can't hurt right?

  I do that. But it's pretty inconvenient to stop mid game to restart everything.

  Thanks for that suggestion. I'll give it a try... but it seems to me that one of the recent updates stopped flash from clearing it's own garbage out...

  I stupidly clicked on (upgrade Flash Player) now. Ever since I did that my 3 touch meter is now goofy!! Instead of 1 click= start to top, 2nd click at top of ure desired distance, & 3rd click at bottom for shot it don.t work anymore. Now 1st click & nothing. 2nd click & it starts to top like it's supposed to on 1st click. . & last click at bottom for desired shot. It costs me several seconds off clock waiting for this crap!! In a timed match people *** because I'm slow then & some quit! I have (System Mechanic) from IOLO co & it cleans out all browser cache files & does a HD reorginization, & mem defrag & that changes nothing!. Damn I'm pissed! I thought Sys Mechanic maybe wasn't cleaning out cache files so I did a cache file clean W/ Firefox * still no good. Once WGT gets us sucked in they have the attitude, You'll never quit them. I did once for aprox 2 months thinking it was my pc but I had a Computer repair, upgrade. & troubleshoot Business in ohio for several yrs & know this site is badly in need of repairing tons of problems or the only ones that continue on are people not PC/MAC savy. This game is rigged to take your money period.

  The 3-click swing meter is admittedly broken right now. We are working on a fix, and should have an update soon. I would suggest using one of the other swing meters for the time being.

  Champ, can you answer this for us poor souls who are havinIg a memory leak problem? Is WGT aware of the memory leak problem and if so are they working on it? I have looked over the forum and I have not seen a mod acknowledge the problem.

  Memory leak is getting MUCH WORSE!

  This has been a problem for a couple months, but now, it's unmanageable. Memory use is over a GIG after only five holes. You have to do something about it. Game is unplayable soon after I start. A restart is ALWAYS necessary to finish even a nine hole practice game. 

  First rule of programming is to clean up after yourself. PLEASE fix it!!!

  They've been told how to fix it by a former Adobe computer scientist but so far they've shown no inclination to follow his advice.

  edit:  Lee will kill me (and rightfully so) if I don't get this right...they've been told how to fix it by a Computer Scientist with extensive Adobe programming experience, but so far have shown no inclination to follow his advice.
