Drives suddenly 20 yards short and low

  I read a thread that I didnot find now about the Chrome Soft balls being odd and WGT claiming there was only a change of name. I was playing with those balls and had not noticed any problem so I thought it was the typical (sorry guys) "WGT made the error, not me" kind of thing.
  
  Then I got the "This is your last ball of this type, buy..." in game and bought new ones.
  I started a game at Merion back and hit a drive. I kind of know Merion 10, I know how hard to hit and where to aim depending on the wind.  Ball landed 20 yards short. I thought that I had forgotten the spin or something and restarde. New wind, this time tail wind 9-11. I pulled down my R1 to maybe 93%, set full bs and hit. I landed 20 yards short of the green.
  
  This continued on all the other holes, constantly around 20 yards shorter than expected and ball flew very low even with full bs.
  
  So something is wrong. 
  
  I do not expect WGT to take it serious though, I have only played  1447 ranked rounds - what do I know?
  
  Driver: TM R1
  Ball: Callaway Chrome Soft Level 43+

  PS. Felt like the irons were short as well, but I did not play them seriously

  I use the Nike 20xI-x RZN ball, have for several months, made no club changes now suddenly shots are all falling short, Tee shots and long irons especially seem effected, 10-20 yards short all the time. This is making the par 3 holes nearly impossible to get close, not to mention getting to the par 5's for a chance at eagle.

  I might as well play the low level balls, they are traveling within 5 yards of the nike balls, What good is backspin and precision if the ball wont travel they distance it is supposed to.

  The 145 yard par 3 @ Oakmont with a 9mph wind 3 ft up, hit a full 145 yard club on the dinger and ball goes 128 yards.

  183 yard par 3 at Kiawah into a 2-4 mph wind, hit full 187 on the dinger and land in the bunker 18 yards short

  Drivers with a 12-15 mph wind and cant get more than 320 yards. The first hole at St Andrews with that wind on a full driver I should end up in the water at the front of the green, ended up with a 50 yard wedge shot.

  I agree the WGT back office effed with these balls again!  My R1level 87 driver was short 20-25 yards today and very low as well no matter the loft put on it. They were actually worse than the Top Rock unlimited balls they give us. A couple of days ago it was fine. It is something that has just been effed with by wgt. I wrote a nasty gram to the 'back office' to fix this as I'm highly upset about it. I hope this starts a movement to get the settings of these balls changed back to what they were before. Its probably the Nike ball guys bitchin about us Callaway guys doing so well for less $$.

  Totally agree, been using the L33 Callys for over a year and since last "we didn't change anything with the balls apart from the name" update, the softs are acting up, randomly it seems. Sent  few replays to Customer Services as proof of the lower than topspin flight with full back spin put on and flops from fairway rolling further than flops from the rough.

  Totally ruined a couple of CC events I was playing in.

  Refuse to upgrade to more expensive balls, why should...but something has happened and it's not for the better....again!

  Seems im on loads of those threads then apology accepted lol

  Believe me the complaints on here are just from those who; 

  • use forum
  • use forum and callys

  The others just buy them, use them, blame themselves or scratch their heads and think the game is rubbish now, they then log off then dont return...........Great business strategy

  Yes, there is some kind of "short shot" bug now , it is not your clubs or balls.

  Well, next day everything was back to normal. Cache issues? Maybe, sent bug reports but of course I heard nothing. Oh well, works as expected now.

  x2 ffs , just bought a dozen of them thinking they would be the same....how wrong, avg drives now 15 yrds short !!!

  No point sending CS the BS though.
