  18 limited tournament on St. Andrews...6 under into #11. par 3 180 yards 5 ft up hill against a side wind left to right almost at me. Hit a 190 yard club with some backspin.

  IT GOES 196 yards!!!!!!!!!!!! How the hell does it do that...shot a bogey and got pissed and dropped out!!!! This freaking game is hilarious. How can someone consistently shoot well with all of this god dam inconsistencies of this game!!!! I am so pissed right now, so have to go so I dont piss someone off from wgt and get kicked off.

  It depends on the green speed. For the shot you explained, I would hit for about 182 yards. On the faster greens, the ball will roll further. Another explaination could be that you hit a downslope when you landed, which would add to the roll of the ball on the green.

  I'm sure there are more permeatations, but I'm just too tired now. :-{

  Agree it's likely to have hit a slope.  Andy's has got some mad greens, and if you add into the mix perhaps fast or very fast or even Tournament greens, so have more distance.

  Also, if you hit the green straight on, spin has more effect.  If you hit the fringe or the fairway, spin seems to be nullified.

  It's not surprising. You use balls with 3x distance. In side wind, my 180 club with about 1/3rd bs gets to the hole just fine :)

  HI Heath;

  The 5i (i15) off the tee goes approximately 195-198 yards on average with the Gi2-SD2.  That is hit with spin at the horizontal on the ball.  It is definitely a deceiving club.  Sometimes I'll use a 6i (175 yrds, I15) with some ts or back spin depending on the wind.

  why all the rant, level 81, legend. you have been here awhile, played these courses a few times, what do you expect?  it's golf pure and simple.  the computer has a built in monster just like courses have built in discrepencies, it makes the game interesting. But no, you have to show your lack of judgement and maturity and get blown all out of purprotion because you have suffered the indignity of a bogey.  grow up have some class, you are supposed to be a LEGEND! act like one.   do not be a QUITTER.  my 2 cents.....

  Hmmm...classy!  Why request class from others if you're not willing to exhibit yourself?

  Yes he was venting a bit like many of us are prone to do, but absolutely no need to berate the person.
