i have both, the RSIs are much better imo, the .5 slower meter seems like 3.5 coming from the R11s:) , & the touch of added spin adds a lil more bite to your approaches, very solid irons, but ive never tried the nike 97s, stat wise they seem v close..

the meter doesn't bother me on the r11s, how much extra spin? is it a big deal?

Imo the RSi's are nothing special and some of the clubs are a bit irratic, like the PW, 8i, and 3i.  I scored nearly as well with my level 64 Nikes as my Rsi's.  Sure tee box had some to do with it but still........

I can't speak for the 97's because I skipped them but I can say w/out question that the level 100's absolutely destroy the rsi's.  I'm easily scoring 12-20 feet closer per Ready Go CTTH round with the 100's.

To throw out there, the 100's and Rsi' both have the same spin rating but that's a misleading stat.  The 100's definitely provide more spin.  If the 97's are similar I can't see any reason why you shouldn't wait til level 97.

    Good luck ;)
