I'll keep playing and wait for another driver to come along.
As for the iron play helping your game.... what do you all think the purpose of a longer driver is? Being able to hit a 5i instead of a 4i.
If being 5-10 yds further down the fairway isn't an advantage, I challenge you to play a round and take one extra club on every approach shot and just hit it a little softer. See how that affects your score.
I think the biggest complaint is that from this level, there's really nothing (equipment-wise) to work toward for several levels and we know how long it takes to move up. Quite a disincentive to play a lot (i.e. buy balls). Seems counterproductive for a company to not entice it's customers to spend money on it's products.
