alosso:
Not this again?
Alosso, please tell me whether you truly and honestly believe that every one of Mr. T's scores was made fairly and without any form of game manipulation. I know it's possible to post scores like that, most players can do it now and then but to be able to do it time after time is stretching the limits of credibility for me at least.
Just looking at the scores posted after qualifying for this we see the following. Only 4 nations played every round, South Africa, Spain, Rest of the World and of course, Germany.
If we take the best scores posted by 3 of those nations nation during those 6 rounds we have the following:
South Africa: 27, 29, 27, 28, 26, 29. Total 166.
Spain: 27, 28, 26, 28, 27, 30. Total 166.
RoW: 27, 26, 28, 28, 27, 28. Total 164.
Scores from just 1 particular German player: 26, 25, 27, 24, 28, 25. Total 155.
Are you really not able to see how unlikely this is? That 1 person posted scores that matched or bettered the best individual score from the other 3 nations in 4 out of 6 rounds. And finished with a total score 9 shots better than the second best nation.
I can understand your reluctance to accept that he/they may not have acted in a manner becoming of gentleman and sportsmen, I really can. I messaged with our star player and found him a charming and eloquent fellow. The sad fact is though that charming and eloquent does now equate to above suspicion.
I know a person is innocent until proven guilty but they have clearly been found guilty of something by WGT, hence the banishment. It is only what that misdemeanour actually was that is not clear. Personally, given the unbelievably good scores posted day after day, I wouldn't be surprised to find some sort of game manipulation was taking place. This is purely my own suspicion though and is not being stated as a fact.
WGT, I apologise if this post highlights an unwanted topic once again but in my eyes it was already well and truly out there.
