I See It During Games...Stroke Play, Match Play...etc
It means the player has been invited to and joined the 'WGT Nation'.
There are no advantages in being a member, it sounded like a good idea at 1st but WGT failed to deliver on their promises.
After having one since they came out (I wasn't invited, just "was in", I no longer have it. Like you said, it carries no great significance so I won't miss it.
