Mikkel and I finally decided to play today. I'm sorry for my team mates, I couldn't match his game in the front 9. The last full game I had happened 2 weeks ago on my fourball match and couldn't find time to play since.

I was not sure to be able to play later in the week end since I've already my alternate shot to play tomorrow. Then, I would have had a hard time to find room to play this match in the next 2 weeks. So, Mikkel and I jumped on the opportunity to play it today.

He played solid from start to the end, when I struggled on the front 9, missing approach shots short and with couple of big meter issues. Making the turn 4 behind became challenging. Managed to hit 2 birdies 1 eagle on 10th thru 13th to come back 2 dwn with a 27 footer drained on 13th. Then another meter issue made me hit way early on 14th which left me just short of the green when Mikkel approach stuck to the pin. Back to 3 up or ROW

My tee shot went way left on 15th but drained another long putt (38 ft) Unfortunately, Mikkel lips in his 18 footer and kills any hope for a win. We both get the par hole on 16th lipping out my 18 footer for birdie. 3&2, the game is over!

Well played Mikkel, was cool from you to agree to play today and give a chance to this event to finish before 2016 lol

Lack of game and crazy work killed my chances here. Sorry Team USA but I didn't have any other choice than playing quickly if the opportunity came.

A report from a fine match between Fredsf and Duffputt:

First thank to Fredsf for a very friendly game in a good atmosphere.

    Holes:

    1. Halfed in pars. Duff has a 15 feet bird chance from right of hole but misses. .

    2. Halfed in pars. Fred drives to bunker but escapes very well onto the green. Duff is late on the ding and ends up on right side of green.

    3. Duff to 5 feet and a birdie win.

    4. Duff makes bird but Fredsf makes a superb second to 2,6 feet and an eagle.

    5. Fred in greenbunker but gets a good par from 12 feet. Duff to 4,5 feet and birdiewin

    6. Duff to 5 feet and bird but Freds holes a good 14 footer. Halfed in birds

    7. Duff makes solid par and wins the hole. Fred's pitch from just short goes 11 foot by and is missed.

    8. Fred accidently hits coneced on Duff's 5,9 feet birdieputt. Duff wins hole. It probaply didnt matter since the putt wasnt the worst.

    9. Duff to 4 feet. Fred 3-putts from well left. Meter problem. Duffputt is 4 up at the turn.

On the back nine fred put hard pressure on. Here's how.

    10. Duff 15 feet short and misses the birdattempt. Fred holes a good 7 feeter from left of hole for a birdwin

    11. Duff is earlier than the earliest earl on his approach and goes 15 yards left of green. Fred to 7 feet, but putt is evil right of pin. Duff hits to 2,5 feet and par. Fred misses but holes a good 6 foot comebacker.

    12. 18 mph tailwind. Freds hits first, takes a trip up the right pleateau, trickles down to only 8,2 feet. Duff chooses 3W, do the same and ends up 8,3 feet away. Both players hole their eagle putt for another excellent half.

    13. Duff hits a good second 13 feet past the pin. Fred just misses the plateau but holes a 25 feet bomb. Duff misses. Duff only 2 up now.

    14. Duff found the flattest lie ever found on this fairway. Freds approach is short. Duff stiffes to 3,6 feet and birdie win.

    15. Another miracle hole. Duff founds out yet again that its dangerous to play with full backspin in even the slightest facewind so ends up 18 feet short. Fred is early but holes another bomb from around 28 feet for a bird. Then duff holes his 18 footer. Phew!!

    16. Fred a bit short on the green, duff 7 feet left. Fred hits an excellent putt the touches the hole but goes by. Duff is now lagging as good as he can and the holes is halfed in pars. Game Duff

Fred hadnt played for 2 weeks but that couldnt be seen. He played pretty well. I just had a day when more balls than normal was totally stiffed.

Fred is -6 on the 16 holes with 2 bogies.

Duffputt is -10 on the 16 holes

    Corwyn:

Thanks for the info mm... just in time!

I'm hoping it can work this Saturday 10/31, provided Konrad is willing to play his Singles against you, as well as his already-scheduled Foursomes on the same day.

At the moment it looks like either we'll play fairly early tomorrow, before Konrad's other match, or else one of us will have to step outside our preferred times.

Suggested dates/times for Matches: will follow in a subsequent post

Hoping from some more news soon from folks about scheduling their Singles matches :)

Below is a hurried list of when I think players have overlap. Please quote your match with updates indicating when you've both arranged to play. Thanks!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that some players' Time Zone is flagged in ORANGE highlight in the spreadsheet Time Availability Chart. This signifies that their clocks will go back with the change to Daylight Savings on Sun 11/1 early am, and thus their 5pm will now be 4pm. I left the Time as is in the event that those matches may be played Sat 10/31 (as some may have to be).

AND PLEASE NOTE THAT WGT TIME WILL CHANGE TOO ON SUN 11/1, falling back 1 hr relative to UTC.
