  FYI: I've updated the opening page posts, adding all the key information for the event. Important updates will always go on the opening page with all scheduling info being added to the second post on page 1, as well as being posted where it falls in the thread.

  One update that's now there on page 1 is the round set-ups and conditions. Please note that the week 1 Fourballs will be played on the Back 9 at Chambers, in Practice mode, from the Yellow (Hard) tees with Heavy wind and Champ13 greens.

  rfpoul has just accepted my invitation to play for Team USA.

  Still have one invitation outstanding and waiting for a reply.

  However, Team USA is having some challenges raising its team with three players unavailable and two others inactive for over a month. Captain Russ and I are working on finding replacements.

  It's great to see that a lot of recruitment has been taking place and that Captain Russ is very close now to having a full team... I think just one player needed.

  Thank you so much to those US players responding to the call!

  I've asked both captains to submit their pairings and 'secret envelope' list to me by tomorrow (pending of course Team USA's final player)... and we still hope to announce the week 1 series fourball matches within the next 24-48 hours.

  Breaking news: jaycen129 has just accepted captain Russ' invitation to join Team USA. Jaycen participated in the qualifying events and is a worthy addition to the team.

  I realize it's a little unorthodox to put together a team this way, but I'm glad that Team USA has ended up with 4 of its 7 additional players be players who participated frequently in the Spring 2015 UEL Tour, and were next in line for automatic spots behind those who were unavailable. In essence, this means that I've allowed Russ one extra pick by necessity in order to find a replacement to make up for the 5 qualified players who couldn't play.

  (Edit: And it's worth adding that one of those replacements, rfpoul, came at the recommendation of opposing skipper JoeMaverick and ROW player fmagnets, when rfpoul stepped forward to join them in a test game while we were trying to establish the viability of multiplayer.)

  Team USA now has their "starting" 12.

  We still could use some alternates. In past UEL Ryder Cup competitions there has always been alternates that have been asked to step in to replace a player for a specific match due to unforeseen circumstances.
