I have had a drive of mine go RAW in the past, and as far as I can remember I did get it back, but I can't remember how.

Might be a problem with a corrupt MBR/MFT, so just keep Googling is all I can currently offer.  : (

I got data off a drive using a super cheap adapter. I'm not sure if this is what might help you. But a good thing about this is you can use any old drives as a ext. hard drive if desired.

It has 1 or more pin type connectors and it has a USB on the other end. Power adapter for drive power option, also.

    Wontonamo:

ive had a few fried HDDs in my time and if the freezer trick doesn't work for a super dead drive, I used a program called HDD Regenerator.

its the only one that worked for a seriously dead drive and it managed to patch my 1tb drive up enough for me to get important files off - it will probably not fix the entire HDD but enough to recover stuff from.

its worth 100 bucks so if u look through a few torrent sites there are cracked versions which work (I used one).

basically u install the program on a usb stick and it runs in dos mode.

once installed on the stick get the computer to boot thru usb and have the dead drive hooked up - itll find it and start the process. mine took 3 days cos its slow and the hdd was super dead. no idea how long it will take u.

Well If It has anything to do with software.  You Would Know.

    borntobesting:
Both of my Comodo browsers,( Comodo Dragon and Comodo Ice Dragon) are on the crashed hard drive. So at the present time I am playing With Microsoft Edge, a decent browser but not as good as CD.

Are you trying to recover any other data from the crashed external hard drive, or just looking to play WGT for now?

For just playing WGT, I'd use the Microsoft Edge browser just to get out on the web and install the Comodo browsers again.

    Good luck
