Maybe the expiration date on the card expired? It's happened to me before.
yae ditto, bought many credits since then...the card was re- issued tho 6 months back ...jumped through hoops back then to 'pay to play' WGT..it's set up just to punch in 3 digit sec code.
to answer other poster..Card being MAXED OUT won't be the prob.
Reminds me of Pay Pal bollox..when a good friend was in shtuck.
Used PP for 2 yrs or so, to move / pay small amounts..card renewed AND..
Get a friggin e-mail saying 'paraphrasing'.." card not worthy"
After 20 mails back n forth...it turns out that the cause / prob is that it is an English issued card, that doesn't marry with my IP Country address..
got cards from Countries never been to ffs, Worldwide economy no ???
To cut a long story short..my response was
" ALL that has changed is my expiry date & security code...account # is same as"
Their reply was on the lines of " new rules, we have to be sure"
OK right, really gonna launder $$ through fookin PP !!! ? :-)))
1/2 the cards I have are not even in my fookin name !!! ( tho I pay the bill )
I don't exist in anything but a minimal tax residency ..this WWW crap is just that..prefer face to face / phone transactions..SO
I bypassed PP, rang up my old bank branch manager.( he's higher up in the food chain now ), He informed me that in the African town my mate was....HSBC have a branch and even though I don't have the 'right' account with them anymore ( put in a lump sum for a higher interest rate, but it can't be touched for 5 years ) He authorised it..
Not used PP since...
No substitute for building a 'reputation' over the years and calling in a few favours....
Can't do that over the NET eh ? !!!
