    b0geybuster:

I wonder if anyone is allowed to play, but only those who qualified are eligible for the grand prize.

    Cheers,

    b0gey

Might be the case Bogey but only those who qualified for the 2 opens this past summer could play in the tourneys. I Just thought it was a little strange.

That is very strange, although you can only get the tournament from the link supplied to you in the email (and now posted in the forum), it is not available just by searching through current tournaments

Also, Quick Question- What conditions is the tournament played under? (tees, greens etc)

Not really sure I didn't even play one hole. I didn't look at the conditions as I wasn't going to play because i felt it would be a slap in the face of the players who actually desevered to play by qualifying.

Looking at the prize, it is not as good as winning one of the 3 lead in events. I think that WGT has seriously ****ed up somewhere along the line. Surely this event should also be advertised on the general site a bit more, there is not one mention anywhere, why is that?

The original prizes were for 2 people this is for one. Icon can we have a bit of an explaination of this, has WGT fallen out with the LPGA that would be funny lol

I would assume that the LPGA paid WGT a certain amount of advertising revenue for this and someone at WGT has got the sums wrong.

I won the LPGA October tourney. According to the rules, scores were supposed to be confirmed by November 15th. Well.... I have sent numerous e-mails. They were all responded to within a couple of days. But.. they all said pretty much the same thing.. We are looking into this matter..sorry for the delay...which to me is pc for  We have no idea what we are doing and don't really give a $hit anyway...lol... anyway.. Now, it shows on my profile and on the earnings leaders list that I won a prize worth $1100 but I have yet to receive instructions on how to claim this prize. (2 plane tickets and 2 tourney tickets)

I want to bring my son to a tourney in California in March. The problem is that I need plenty of advance notice to give to his mother. I can't make plans until WGT fulfills their end of the deal. You won't find me badmouthing WGT too much. I absolutely love the game and all of it's quirks. But..... WGT's organizational skills seem to be sub-par at times...

I agree with Speeds statement in regards to loving this game, "even" with all of it's quirks. BUT - WGT's administative responsibilities are extremly unreliable. WGT needs to employ EDUCATED / University Certified administrators which, I truly don't feel this will happen becaaause - a good admins. comes with a fairly high price. Secondly;  WGT Public relations have been and, still are "non-excitant". Now with this being said- IF WGT has Univ.Certified Administrators, well then, START DOING YOUR JOB. Congratulations again my fellow cc member SPEEDY on a great victory. Have fun...edge

I am with both of you, its just the organisation is a bit lacking at times and I'm not sure if it on purpose at limes. I won a prize in a monthly once and 3 times they tried to pay me the wrong amount (less of course). I love this game too and its just a bit of an irritation at times.

There were 3 feeder tournaments for this final shoot out and I would have expected a bit more fanfare, at least something!!! And surely the prize should have been a step up. You know, dinner with Kristie Kerr the first night, Paula Creamer  the second, maybe present the trophy on the sunday afternoon while all the time staying in the best 7 star hotel near the course and first class tickets everywhere. Its not much to ask :)

LOL.....Very good T'Ace...very good..lol. I wouldn't say they lack organization skills is on purpose. Again, I think there operation / corporation has tripled in size and demand in the past 12 mts and they do not have the appropriate staffing. You have to initially "spend" money to make money. I think WGT is only concerned with the "make' money part of the buisness at the moment. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you respond and respect the ones (us)lol that are "making " you ALL that money. edge

The Rules for this competition have disappeared.  Maybe to edit out the qualification clause
