A good friend and fellow Country Club owner asked me a question I could not answer sensibly. He wanted know why Cabo and Whistler were not members in the family of available Country Club venues for a fee. It is a great question. It is a wonderful revenue generating venture to be implemented...what is the answer as to "why not ? "

i maybe talking out of the top of my head BUT, when playing cabo or whistler,

you pay green fees up front therefore true golf get paid instantly,

in cc tourneys they may be waiting for tourneys to fill up, they will get paid but true golf wont wait fo tourney to fill up?

I know Frankel (Davide) has pushed for this many times, and has I don't think he has received a valid answer to why this can't be done.

Seems an odd request coming from a player who only plays CTTH or best of 3/5's. Why do I get the feeling you want to protect a false average?

Oh...that's right, it is for your members, but shouldn't a leader lead from the front? Just saying....

The "odd" question was generated from a request by a friend and fellow CC owner who is under a mistaken belief that I may have some sway here at WGT.

For many months now, because of my available time and diminished desire to play, I lean toward the CTTH at Bandon to see how low I can go, and it only takes minutes to play. I play the best of 5's for fun, speed, and the accumulation of eagles and dbl eagles. I play 9-holer's with an eye to post a 25 or less...anything higher is of zero interest to me any more...just been here too long. I don't gamble because I have my own money and I don't want anyone elses. In other words, being it is my time, I use it to please myself and no one else. As for what I "should" do, it is exactly as I do, do.

I know David has persued this Cabo-Whistler-CC desire with no success. Nevertheless, I demand an answer and I will get one.  ~ SP ~

Adaputter:  Waiting for a tourney to fill up would only apply to a bracket I think. What I was asking about would be, say I set up a tourney, put up 1000 credits for winner or top three, for free, unlimited play, and to play is the greens fee. I'm sure WGT gets something out of that.                Alanti:  I'm the player that asked SP to pursue this because I thought she could get something done about it. I'm not a blogger, but a player that wants to make it more enjoyable for all of us. It's unfortunate that you have discontent for the game because of what ever is affecting your games. I have no problems with meter or connections. BTW, someone's average should not be anything to worry yourself about.                                        SP, thanks for help.

Perhaps this is why WGT can't give us Cabo and Whistler for CC's. Maybe WGT pays Tru-Golf for the use of those courses in ready-gos out of their 20% cut. And they pay Tru-golf a predetermined fee for the few times they use them in the free weekly tournaments.

The first one would not work for 2 reasons.

    1. Many CC tournaments the entry fee is very low and even if WGT gave Tru-golf their entire cut it wouldn't pay the green fees.

    2. If the tournament is an unlimited play tournament we only pay the entry fee once so again not enough to come close to paying the green fee.

And remember it is not WGT charging or receiving the green fees. That is Tru-Golf. And Tru-golf might be telling WGT just how they can and can't use Cabo and Whistler.

Thanks Joe for your analysis and the thought that went into it...it may be right. I was in hope that WGT would provide an answer so as to close all wonderment of the possibility. If you are correct, any sensible mind would know that a new contract, mutually agreeable, is all that is needed...or as it is called, "business".  ~ SP ~
