Just wondering if we have had some deviation added to this putter. I've had 3 putts inside of 4 feet go dead right off of the club face and not even touch the hole during the last 2 days. All putts were dinged. One missed the hole by a whole foot

cant comment on that problem, however in match play I use the daytona putter and am well pleased. Give it a try if you have never used it....

Most oldtimers here still hold in high regard..

    Good luck

I haven't seen anything like that and I have had mine a long time...

I did miss several dinged short putts at Merion recently in a CC tournament but it wasn't the putter...the putts broke with no break showing on the grid, or more than it showed....all the other courses play fine.

I had one at Kiawah number 8, one at Chambers #1, and 1 at Whistler #2. The Kiawah 8 was the strangest as the greens were only 10 on the stimp, I played the putt to the front hole location outside of the hole, and it still missed by a full foot right from 4 feet away. I was stunned.

The one at Chambers was a 3.2 footer. I may have hit it too softly, but it broke far more than it should have (I did double eagle 8, so that did make up just a bit). The Whistler on 4 I don't remember a 2.7 footer diving dead left when playing it at the left edge. I know 4 and 5 footers do though

Just a quick question, Dan, was there any elevation change and/or avatar 'skew off center' ? I'm making some notes in my book. TYIA

Don't remember, I was busy kicking the dog, and cussing everyone in the house even though nobody was home but me!

If there was any elevation change it wasn't much and didn't really matter...the grid showed no break on 1 and it broke 2 cups on a 3.5 ft putt and the other showed a hefty break and didn't break an inch....

Merion has me brain f*****d...played the back 9 tonight, got to #17  -7, had a 184yd tee shot with a 12mph tail wind and hit a 165 yd club that went 197yds...but I had a shot I know well to save par, it somehow came up short, then a 3.3 ft putt with a light break decided not to break for a bogie...then an unreal wtf approach shot on 18...

Thats why I don't play Merion, when your draining 8-13ft putts with break, and missing everything inside of 5ft something is fu***d up....great layout but those greens are setup to fu** with your mind
