    PRIESTESS:

How can you play a tough right to left side lie at Andy's with a 28 wind coming from same angle.

By not putting yourself in that position ;-)

    PRIESTESS:

UEL Chambers 18 holes. UEL St Andrews 18 holes. Why make these 2 high winds?  you don't want anyone to enjoy playing these no? I would imagine Mod win is sufficient for UEL Esp Chambers. How can you play a tough right to left side lie at Andy's with a 28 wind coming from same angle. My monitor isn't wide enough for that shot..At the end of the day everyone wants ready goes to fill as quick as poss.

Difficult? fmag has scored one time 57 :p

No I'm kidding, you're right the wind makes these courses really tough. About Chambers, the reason is that in the 2 previous list that courses was played in Mod wind. So I wanted something different and the 2 other "heavy wind" courses, St Andrews (F9 - 50cr) and Royal St Georges (F9 - 50cr) were resp. played in low wind and mod wind. That's why I've decided to plan Chambers with heavy wind.

A last thing about Chambers, it's the last time I plan it before the end of the next UEL Ryder Cup. And since the weekly UEL tournament has disappeared, it's the last time before a long time you can play Chambers 18 holes in UEL. So to every UEL players, play it (the funniest UEL course of all WGT, in my opinion) ! :)

About St Andrews it's different. Some weeks ago that course was played in heavy wind for 500cr and it was filled very quickly, much more quickly than usual for a 500cr UEL RG. St Andrews is not much more difficult in UEL so, after the very easy F9 (low wind, green 10) in the previous batch, I've decided to plan it in a more difficult situation.

There are 6 UEL RG's (if we except the unlimited Oakmont B9) and I try to plan 2 low wind, 2 mod wind and 2 heavy wind every time. Last time Merion was planned with green 13 for 500cr and I've considered it was hard enough => Mod wind. In opposite Bethpage has very flat fairways and it's not an interesting UEL course => Heavy wind.

So I try to keep balance between course, green and wind, but I think it would have been better if I had planned Chambers in low wind and Cabo Del Sol in Heavy wind. Now it's not bad too to have a very easy course and a very hard course here and there :)

100% Agree. 18th at Merion, 1st at Olympic just an e g of a couple more. I have to set my cursor at around 60% of the distance and hope the line is O K in Heavy winds ( unless someone has a better solution ) then keep my fingers crossed I'm somewhere on line. LOL.

So I rarely play Heavy, 18, Uneven Lies. They are a lottery for me in that setting. A bit like Par 5 Heavy......some days are Diamonds and others Stones, depending on the Wind. Unless the wind was the same for ALL players.

    Regards from Alan

PS I enjoy all formats of the game but can only play the formats I have a chance of being competitive at least.

    Maybe Chambers Bay/Merion/Olympic - Heavy wind - Green 14 :)

Edit: St Andrews F9 has disappeared.
