There seems to be growing interest in the Tournament. As it's only the first one we've tried to organise on our own, I suggest, as long as the people who first thought about this tournament (geebo7, nivlac, costain,etc...) are of the same opinion, we should wait until there are sixteen players(there are fourteen at the moment)and consider the tournament closed.

Then we should definitely start organising timetables.

I notice, by the way, at the moment there are thirteen amateurs and one hack. I don't mind this at all, but I thought other people might think it is a disadvantage to play a hack, so I thought I'd ask.

This is an experience so there will be errors and learnings. In order to not miss the wave let's try with 8 players only. I don't have an issue if I'm not playing, I'm more interested on getting this experience alive and have feedback from the ones that will play...probably WGT will include it in the game later....so let's have 8 players (without me) asap and let's play...

I will suggest as well that the winner of each match copy and paste the scorecard under this thread, this will give us an idea of how tough was the match...

OK everyone, I've set up an entry form. Seeding policy tbc, but my line of thinking is by tier and then by scoring average. From what I can tell from matchplay tournaments, draws are made made strictly by ranking (e.g. 1 v 16, 2 v 15, 3 v 14...)

I won't worry about Hack v Amateur tees issues for the moment as this is a test tournament. Deadline is 2100 GMT Sunday to enter, then we start Monday and end Friday.

Great work Slor.  I've been running short on time recently so I'm glad someone else took over on this idea.  If you have any questions regarding tournament seeding, let me know. You should also check out ALJ Tournament Maker Software.  It's a free program and it's pretty in-depth for tourney making.  You can have any size field in single or double elimination format.

Otherwise, for everyone else, these are the same links that Slor has provided, just clickable now:

Entry Form: WGT Test Match Play Tournament Entry Form

Entrant List: WGT Test Match Play Tournament Entrant List

Rules Page: WGT Test Match Play Tournament Rules

I've blogged about this in my profile to gain more exposure and I'm officially signed up. :-)
